Give me that thing that I love...

Now I wasn't planning on posting this outfit but I thought hey why don't I actually do what I promise to do on my blog and actually show them what I wear. Plus this day was nice, it was a casual day, I got paid, went shopping, had some frozen yogurt which is always great. It also felt like summer to me. It was hot as balls, well for Santa Cruz anyway. I might die from the heat when I go to Vegas. At least I have some time in LA to adjust to the weather.

A couple things:
- The next time I see you, I might already be in Monrovia. I'm super stoked about that.
- In the meantime, follow my social media thangs, God knows I have enough of them (twitter, vine, insta, tumblr, you name it).
- Gaga's video for "Applause" is out and after two years of no music from her, it's about damn time.

And we'll conquer them all...

If you haven't read my last post, I'm basically trying to do this thing where I post my outfits a lot for you guys, whether it'd be on Instagram or on here. I just want to show you guys what I'm wearing even though it might not be the greatest thing in the world. It'll give you some peeks into my life if you don't already follow me on Instagram. I do most of my updating on there and on Twitter.
So anyway, yesterday was just what I wanted, which is a very random outfit post that I didn't even think about doing until Veronica suggested it. I went to work and she picked me up afterward and decided that we would go on a day trip to Capitola. We drove by the beautiful beach and also found this amazing vintage shop which is now our new favorite place. I found some great stuff I can't wait to style. We ended with an amazing din full of tacos and horchata. Smiles.

Veronica also uploaded a little vlog/outfits video of our day which you can check out on her channel by clicking here

Here we go back...

Another outfit post what? I know. I surprised myself too.
We went to Santa Monica yesterday for my dear ol' dad's birthday celebrations and it was awesome. We shopped and walked and ate lots of food. I was kinda bummed that it was overcast when we were there, I mean I came home to have some nice sun. Every effing time I'm home, it's gross and murky, but hot, so it's a little worse. But despite that, we had a grand time. And my dad was happy.

As you can see, since my last post was only a few days ago, I'm trying to post more. More outfits, specifically. I want to show you guys what I wear every day even if it's just for work or whatever. If I don't get it on Instagram, hopefully it'll be on here. I'm kinda bummed to be going back to Santa Cruz because there's never enough time for anything but I'm also relieved. I get to be in my cozy apartment and go to work. Also it's never too hot up north so it's pretty swell.
I'm so in the mood for big changes. Lately, I've been feeling a little out of it, like I don't know exactly what I'm feeling. Stuff is happening in da personal life and I can't deal with it at the moment. As I have said before, this isn't really a personal blog so I'll shut up. But if you are interested, follow my Tumblr and Twitter for quick updates on life and thoughts. The links are always at the end of my posts. Smiles.

*And if you didn't hear, a sweet prince named Cory Monteith was taken away from us. I was fortunate enough to meet him and I thank him for making me smile every time I watched him. Glee will never be the same. Rest in paradise. RIP*

You do it well...

It's 12/12/12 guys! And I am officially done with my finals and I'm going home tomorrow morn!
Now I have to finish packing. Oops.

But here you go! An outfit post finally!
This past weekend, Veronica and I went to two flea markets in Santa Cruz and had a grand old time. We bought some gifts for people and some other gifts for ourselves. Smiles.
I know it's like the middle of the week and I'm barely posting about the weekend but finals have been shit basically, to put it bluntly. I've really missed talking to you guys about my life and what not though.

SPIKED DENIM JACKET - DIY/ THRIFTED ANIMAL TEE/ LIQUID LEGGINGS - COTTON ON/ VINTAGE DOONEY BAG/ THRIFTED BOOTS

Yes I know it's the middle of the week, but I still want to tell you about my super fun weekend!
I told you all last week that we had a heatwave in Santa Cruz. Well the next day, it got colder, so it's finally fall here yay. It hasn't been too cold yet so it's pretty nice.
Anyway so on Friday, Veronica and I went on a little date downtown and went to see The Perks Of Being A Wallflower. I'm still reading the book, but I couldn't wait, and it was totally fine. Okay, I am so in love with this movie! I can't even explain it. From what I've read so far, it stayed pretty close to the book, and Veronica read the whole thing and she loved it too. Just go see it. It might become one of your favorite movies.

I felt like this weekend was just all shopping. Wow that sounds really bad, but it really was just a lot of shopping. Saturday was dedicated to Target as you can see. I can seriously spend hours in that amazing place. Their Halloween stuff is out now too so Veronica and I went crazy. We filmed a little Halloween haul over on her channel which is going up soon. I'll link it in this post later when it's up. Smiles.
On Sunday, we basically spent the entire day thrifting and vintage shopping. I was so exhausted afterwards. Shopping takes a lot out of you, I'm serious. First, we went to Bargain Barn, which is just a warehouse full of goodies basically and went through everything. We were very happy with what we found, I'll tell you that. There might be a haul coming on that stuff too. Later we met up with some Slug Style buddies to look for some photoshoot inspiration. I won't give anything away yet, but I can tell you I'm very excited. I can't wait.

I might be starting up Inspiration Wednesday again soon, and posting some Halloween-y things for you too. I want to celebrate it as much as I can this year since I didn't have the time last year.
So yeah, I hope you guys had an amazing weekend too. xo

Here's our haul from Target. Smiles.

It's time to begin...

I'll keep this a little brief because I didn't really have anything planned to talk about today. I just felt like blogging. I feel really bad because the month is almost over and I haven't blogged once.
Life lately has kinda been a little blah, so my upcoming posts will be about some things that happened over the last couple of weeks. I need to update you all on that stuff.

Anyway, so last Sunday I was doing a little shopping on Melrose for a dress to wear to a wedding we were going to, and as I was walking past some shops, a lady stopped me and asked to take a photo of my outfit for her website. The store Love Melrose launched their website that day and I was featured for my street style along with three other girls.
It was such a little thing but I felt special because I take every day as an opportunity to express myself through what I wear and I felt that my work was appreciated. I've never been featured on a website before. It was nice. Smiles.

I heard you were a wild one...

I know I know! I think saying "See you soon" is some sort of jinx now because every time I say that, I don't blog for almost two weeks. But this time it's not because I haven't been having any inspiration (even though I haven't actually done Inspiration Wednesday in a while). Veronica actually came to visit for about a week and we had a blasty. It was a very full and busy and super fun number of days, which is why this is only part one of a couple of posts of her time in Monrovia. She also vlogged the entire time she was here so you can watch all of those videos on her vlog channel if you click here.

So Part 1 of the Veronica Extravaganza.

STUDDED SHIRT - DIY/ BLEACHED JEANS - F21/ HEELS - URBAN OUTFITTERS/ VINTAGE LOUIS VUITTON PURSE/ ASSORTED JEWELRY

The first day Veronica was here, we actually did the Baby Food Challenge with the crew for her Youtube channel. Oh by the way it was disgusting. There aren't any photos from that day since it was a pretty chill day, but you can watch (and laugh at) the video here. Smiles.

The next day we hung out with my sister all day and did what I do best which is shop. I finally stepped into a Brandy Melville store and I was like a kid in a candy shop. Later we went to Studio City and did some more shopping at Wasteland. I ended up getting some great stuff thanks to my sissy. Our last stop was the Yamashiro Farmers Market in the Hollywood Hills for some foodness. I had never been there before and I don't know why because it was amazing. That is definitely a place I will be at a lot this summer.

So basically it was an amazeballs day.

Here's the vlog:

I see right through you...

I might just talk today since I haven't done that in a while. Maybe I'll put some pictures up from Memorial Day weekend. We'll see how I'm feeling by the end of this.
First off, happy June to all. I posted a total of three times last month which is not good. Only one of the posts was an Inspiration Wednesday too, so I feel bad about neglecting that. I'm almost done with school this year, only a couple weeks until I go home, so I'm counting the days. And I will definitely post a lot more this summer. Smiles.

This past weekend was somewhat enjoyable. I got to spend a lot of time with my family and friends which is always good. We all went to the fiesta, ate yummy food, and had a grand old time. I even had time for some retail therapy and bought some stuff. Maybe you guys will see them in a outfit post pretty soon.

So that was nice. If you follow me on Twitter or Tumblr, you may already know how I'm feeling up here in Santa Cruz. Some stuff happened a couple days ago over the weekend, and it's literally exhausting me. I'm just annoyed and tired of it all, every day I'm just kinda bummed out and all I want to do is eat food and watch Netflix in the comfort of my room. I don't usually tell people why I'm feeling a certain way, but that's my cross to bear I guess. Also, the having to go to school part of all this just puts another damper on what I want to do. But I guess that's life. You think it's going a certain way and then it becomes a crap festival, and everyone only cares about their problems. So yeah that's basically how I'm feeling right now.
This whole week has just been really weird. That Monday off of school kinda threw me off too. I want to go home so badly and hang out with my sister who is basically the only person I can count on. I love that lady.

But enough of me pooping on your party. I'll reward you beautiful people for getting through me talking my face off and complaining. Here are some captures of my weekend with lovely people.

Sorry if this was super long and annoying. Just wanted to put some stuff out there. Maybe I should start making rant videos on Youtube. Anyway, I'll see you soon. Hopefully I'll be in a better mood. All I can say is thank God it's Friday. Maybe I'll have a date night with my girl Veronica. We deserve it.
Love you all.

Wake you up...

VINTAGE JEWELRY, BLOUSE AND LEATHER VEST/ CALVIN KLEIN CUTOFFS/ GIVENCHY TIGHTS/ DEENA & OZZY LACE UP BOOTIES/ REVLON LIPSTICK IN BLACKBERRY

My first weekend in Santa Cruz and I have a four day weekend. It's pretty great.
I only went out once this weekend just to thrift shop a little and get groceries with Veronica but the rest of the weekend we've just been lounging around the apartment eating baked goods and watching stuff on the Netflix queue. It's gotten a little colder this weekend as well so I guess winter is here. More warm clothes and Netflix.

The Golden Globes post is coming soon, once I decide on Best Dress, and also Inspiration Wednesday. I definitely do not want to lose track of this blog.
Some updates:
First, I got a haircut about a week ago. Just a trim, but a significant chunk is gone. But I didn't freak out so much this time, which was weird for me. Maybe I'm close to just chopping it all off.
Anyway, second, I started reading The Hunger Games finally, with much persuading by my sister and Veronica. It's pretty interesting.
And finally, I really want to go to Coachella this year even though I know I won't be going. I want to go to a music festival.

So that's all.

You're so fresh to death...

THRIFTED SKIRT AND SWEATER/ VINTAGE LACE UP BOOTS AND LOUIS VUITTON PURSE/ NYX LIP CREAM IN MONTE CARLO

My last two Inspiration Wednesdays have been a little late so this week I thought I should start early for you guys.
These past two days, I have been with my sister since I slept over her house on Monday and we just had an amazing time and did the things we used to do which is super fun. Also, I saw Drive, which is an amazing movie. Love. Ryan Gosling, yeah. Gorge. Anyway, so today we, along with her friend Maeghan, totally went extreme thrifting today, which I always love. I get into a zone where my hands keep moving crap around but i don't even feel them. Yeah I'm an odd one but I love thrift stores. If you don't love thrift stores, there's something wrong with you. Maeghan took us to this place and I literally had to dig to find stuff. As you can see, there were piles and piles that we went through. I found some great stuff, I can't wait to show you.

Which brings me to Inspiration Wednesday. And it's simple, really. Thrift/vintage stores.
It's probably been about a couple weeks since I've been to any thrift store and today made me miss it very much. Most of my favorite pieces of clothing are either thrifted or vintage. I love it because you never know what you might find. It makes me so happy when I find things that I'm not actually looking for, and the surprise is amazeballs. Yes I frequent the usual Goodwill and Salvation Army, but the hole in the wall places, and huge warehouses are the ones that make me incredibly happy. Like today.

We are shining...

How's everyone's holiday shopping?
I'm almost done thank goodness. I've realized during Christmas time, people spend more time hustling and bustling than enjoying the company of others at actual Christmas events.
But anyway, I'm so excited for this week. Exactly one week until Christmas. I also get to sleep over my sister's house and of course we are going to have a jammin' time. Oh and today is the season finale of Dexter. Big smiles all around.

I didn't get to post this earlier but last weekend I went a family event where my sister sang. It was the first time this season where I got to wear a party dress. I had a good time. I ate lots of cupcakes.

I work out...

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! I know I did.
I am so exhausted from today's shopping. This will be short unfortunately.
So the title of this post is a little bit of a lie. I haven't stopped eating since I've been home. It's so bad. But awesome. It's just a line from the song my dad hasn't stopped singing since he heard it on the radio.
But anyway. Here are some of photos from my wonderful day. I'll probably update with more. So thankful for everyone in my life.

Take it as a song...

So I just had a great sister weekend!

I haven't slept over my sister's house since the Eisley concert and that was only for a night. I spent the whole weekend with her. Yesterday, I went to the Fairfax flea market and Shareen's with her, her best friend Kate, and her sister Megan and we had a grand old time.
I bought a great red skirt and some vintage pins for a DIY surprise I better finish by fall.

And tomorrow, bestie Veronica is coming down to visit for the week and I'm so excited!!!

I need lots of coffee and macarons for this week. It's going to be awesome.
