Sun was shining, I'm positive...

I recently went to Monrovia with my sister to have lunch with our parents and of course it was a good time. We walked around my hometown and took pictures duh. It's always nice having a set schedule for work so I have the time to hang out with my amazing people. I mean I had a set schedule at my last job but it didn't feel that way to me for some reason. Recently I've been having more energy and drive to do things on my days off which is great otherwise they would be wasted and that's not very good. This is what I wore to lunch, a classic outfit, just a blouse and denim shorts, with some new twists. I can go back into the archives and find versions of this exact outfit which is really funny. I still can't believe I got away with wearing this in January. LA weather for you.

I'm in the fast lane...

Alright so once again I didn't keep my promise and didn't blog the entire month of June.

Just so many things were going on and I can actually say that because it's the truest thing. Graduating from UC Santa Cruz only a couple weeks ago, moving to LA and bringing the man with me and starting a kinda new job and adjusting to the fact that Santa Cruz will no longer be home is a little stressful to even think about. The month of June was pretty much full of lasts in SC and just having fun with the people I love and what not. I will eventually post on those things but for now I will finally post about something I've been super stoked about since I found out it was happening.

I got the opportunity to do a collab with Santa Cruz sock brand Socksmith and I was pretty excited about it because all I wear on my feet if I'm wearing socks at all is this brand. They have an online shop but they are also sold at a store that is a block away from where I worked. It was really hard to not walk out of there without at least one pair of these socks. 

They are pretty amazing and have such a collection to choose from. I love them because they're all really interesting designs that I can't find anywhere and now I'm really sad that I'm so far away from them but there's always their online store.

I pretty much wear socks with every outfit I can think of so I decided to style a couple outfits for you using their awesome socks.

You make it hard to leave...

We're a couple days in but happy March my dears!
Just wanted to show you the adventure I had this past weekend in the Bay with the man. We love exploring and we finally had the time to show me all of his favorite places (or most of his favorite places) up here. We took the BART around and stopped for lunch, then did some shopping in Berkeley, then had dinner and drinks in Rockridge which was beautiful. Such a great time even though it was a little rainy. I thought I would share the outfit I wore and some snaps of the day. Can't wait for other shenanigans.

As you may have noticed recently, I've only been blogging outfit posts when I go to new places or really feel like doing an outfit post. If you want to see my everyday wear and stuffs, that's all on my Instagram. I've just been feeling a little bit overwhelmed by everything, which is not necessarily a bad thing. I have great people surrounding me, my sister and parents surprised me here in Santa Cruz the weekend before and it was incredible. I hadn't realized how much I actually missed them. I'm also graduating in the spring, which is simultaneously terrifying and exciting. The man and the besters continue to make me smile and laugh everyday. Work is going great, it's tough sometimes, to make everyone happy, but it's aces most of the time. I manage some awesome gals who have become my friends so it's wonderful.
I guess all I'm trying to say is that I am somewhat tired (both physically and mentally) with school stuff and work stuff and trying to divide my time with the people I love, but it's all good because I'm enjoying my life and I can honestly say that I am happy.
Yes I know I cannot articulate myself very well because it took forever and a day for me to say what I wanted to say. But anyway, so that's that. Smiles.

The end of this month is my spring break and I'm so excited to be going to LA for a handful of days with the man to show him around. It's going to be good. Also I miss LA weather.

Slowly but surely getting to post more on here. It may not seem like it to you, but I am. Just wanted to do a quick post on some awesomeness I was given recently.

As you may know, earlier this month I turned 22. I feel like I've been celebrating this entire month because I would receive random gifts from people I love, including Veronica. She got me these wolf tattoo tights and I was ecstatic. If you don't know about about my extreme love of wolves, now you do. Smiles.

Aren't they amazing? I went to work in them and a bunch of people thought I had a thigh tattoo. I've definitely thought about a thigh tattoo or just a tattoo in general but I'm still debating on what I would get. But it's a possibility for sure.
Anyway, thought I would share this with you guys. I'll have a real outfit post for you soon.

And we won't stop...

Here's the second part of the Vegas extravaganza!

This day was my mother's actual birthday so we made a whole day of it. We had brunch at the Bellagio and shopped til we dropped over at Fashion Show mall, especially since Topshop was there. The malls in Vegas are literally theme parks. You can't see everything in only one day. That night we had a lovely dinner before we went and saw a show at the Paris Hotel which I may or may not blog about, I'm not quite sure yet.
This top is kinda one of my favorites right now, I can wear it with anything. Everything DimePiece is just incredible and I can't wait to add more to my closet. The denim skirt was one of the things I picked up from Bolo Vintage in San Jose about a month ago. It's so easy to wear. This outfit kept me pretty cool, especially since it was hot as balls in Vegas.

The third part of our Vegas trip will be up soon! Sorry it's taking me a while.

Yes, I will be doing a New York Fashion Week post after the Vegas shenanigans.
Tonight is First Friday in San Jose again and Veronica and I will be going. Expect a post from that soon.

Why are you my remedy...

I know I know we're already a week and some into August and this is barely my first post of the month.

It's a pretty special one though because last Friday Veronica and I actually went out and had a fun night in San Jose. She took some awesome pictures on her camera and we had a little shoot in the SoFA district for South First Fridays. It was so great, there were food trucks and galleries and vintage sellers. You may have seen the pictures from our Instagrams.

We went mainly for our friend at BOLO Vintage. Definitely check them out, I linked their Facebook page with their name, click it! I got some really cute stuff I can't wait to style. Smiles.

I apologize for not being on here in a while. A lot of stuff has been going on with work and what not. I have recently been promoted which is amazing news but things are going to be busier. Time managing is going to be hard but I'm looking forward to it. Smiles.
Also I'm getting ready to go to Vegas in a couple weeks to celebrate my momma's birthday which is going to be jammin'. I need a vacation. See you soon babies. x

Hello there!

This week has been pretty uneventful, but I wanted to give you guys an outfit post anyway. On Monday, Veronica and I went on a date to the movies and saw This Is The End which was insane and amazeballs, definitely our kind of movie. We were running a little late so I didn't have time to take pictures when it was still bright outside.

The top I wore was one of the items I got from the vintage store that we stumbled upon in Capitola. I posted it on Instagram a couple days ago. It's this great 70s-y crochet top that reminds me of cotton candy. I love it because it's pretty Unif inspired and anything Unif is awesome.

If you haven't read my last post, I'm basically trying to do this thing where I post my outfits a lot for you guys, whether it'd be on Instagram or on here. I just want to show you guys what I'm wearing even though it might not be the greatest thing in the world. It'll give you some peeks into my life if you don't already follow me on Instagram. I do most of my updating on there and on Twitter.

So anyway, yesterday was just what I wanted, which is a very random outfit post that I didn't even think about doing until Veronica suggested it. I went to work and she picked me up afterward and decided that we would go on a day trip to Capitola. We drove by the beautiful beach and also found this amazing vintage shop which is now our new favorite place. I found some great stuff I can't wait to style. We ended with an amazing din full of tacos and horchata. Smiles.

The one that I love under the sun...

Well I had a great weekend!

So I finished with school and finals last Thursday but I didn't get a break until yesterday since I had to move into my new apartment and then go to work, and then my parents and my sister came to visit the whole weekend  for Father's Day. We basically had a ball. They left yesterday and I was a sad puppy. It was so great being with them, I had the best weekend, to be quite honest.

I love the dress I wore for lunch on Father's Day. I got it from my favorite thrift store a couple months ago and I totally forgot about it until I moved and found all these clothes I never wear. It was pretty exciting. 

I'm not going to get to see my family for a while so that bummed me out but it's all good. Keeping busy will make the time go by faster. I actually don't know when I will be seeing them next, so it might be sooner than I think. Hopefully.

It's 12/12/12 guys! And I am officially done with my finals and I'm going home tomorrow morn!

Now I have to finish packing. Oops.

This past weekend, Veronica and I went to two flea markets in Santa Cruz and had a grand old time. We bought some gifts for people and some other gifts for ourselves. Smiles.

I know it's like the middle of the week and I'm barely posting about the weekend but finals have been shit basically, to put it bluntly. I've really missed talking to you guys about my life and what not though.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Sorry this is so late, but if you follow my Twitter or Insta you may have seen what I was up to at home.

It's my last night home so I thought I'd post tonight. I have to say, even though my break wasn't very long, it was just really nice being home. I can't believe it's been two months.

I've missed this place. It sucks because I didn't have enough time to go to all the places I wanted to go or see a lot of people, but thankfully, winter break is only a couple weeks away. I'll have all the time in the world. Smiles.

So did anyone go Christmas shopping? People are cray.
