Kiss the ring and let em bow down...

So I know I'm way behind on Fashion Week. I'm also behind on posting on here so I apologize for that.
School and work and life have been really hectic but really exciting so I've had no time for anything. I haven't even had a proper outfit post in a while either. If you really want to see what's going on in my life, follow my Instagram or Twitter which I always link at the bottom of my posts. You can expect to see a lot of exciting stuff coming up.

Okay so I figured I will still post on my faves from Fashion Week because why the heck not. It's super late but better late than never. Here are my favorites from London.

House of Holland
This was some dreamy 90's romantic kind of show and I loved it. With the purple clouds in the background, I loved the boyish shapes but feminine patterns and colors. Also the fact that he used a tattoo artist friend's designs made me super happy.

Meadham Kirchhoff
The details of the pieces in this show took my breath away. There was a sense of haunted playfulness that I loved and I felt that each look had something for everyone. I mean dead roses, lace, and punk babydoll dresses. Gimme it.

Sister by Sibling
You can totally tell when the models have been told to smile on the runway, like in this show. I mean it's cute but a little distracting. Despite that little setback, I actually enjoyed the 50's with edge look that they were going for, a sort of Mad Men-esque feel with even more Valium and alcohol. She was quite messy and a little more sinister, which I love.

Topshop Unique
I think the goal of this collection was to show the wide range of girls that can wear Topshop. Every look had something different going on but all seem to work cohesively together. Lots of low backs, no bras, and spaghetti strap 90's-ness was happening and I loved it. Oh and that yellow jumpsuit, yes please. Lady boner.

Ashish
Sequins galore every time but I'm not complaining! Ashish is always fun and we can all agree to that. I love the fancy messy girl look and I can't wait to rock huge destroyed jeans in the spring. Way to mix leopard with zebra as well as making it actually look good. And one more thing, Chloe Nørgaard is perfection.

See you soon babes. x

And we won't stop...

Here's the second part of the Vegas extravaganza!
This day was my mother's actual birthday so we made a whole day of it. We had brunch at the Bellagio and shopped til we dropped over at Fashion Show mall, especially since Topshop was there. The malls in Vegas are literally theme parks. You can't see everything in only one day. That night we had a lovely dinner before we went and saw a show at the Paris Hotel which I may or may not blog about, I'm not quite sure yet.
This top is kinda one of my favorites right now, I can wear it with anything. Everything DimePiece is just incredible and I can't wait to add more to my closet. The denim skirt was one of the things I picked up from Bolo Vintage in San Jose about a month ago. It's so easy to wear. This outfit kept me pretty cool, especially since it was hot as balls in Vegas.

The third part of our Vegas trip will be up soon! Sorry it's taking me a while.
Also a couple things:
Yes, I will be doing a New York Fashion Week post after the Vegas shenanigans.
Tonight is First Friday in San Jose again and Veronica and I will be going. Expect a post from that soon.
Hope yous are having a great September so far. xo

We'll be so good...

I'm so ready for this school year to be over. I have a class starting in a bit but I decided I like you guys better. I have a little something to show you all.
This past weekend, Veronica and I went around looking for new thrift stores and had a ball. I was a little bummed I didn't get to go home this weekend but it's okay. We found this thrift store with this amazing garden I just had to take pictures. I also had to work but I love my job, new laughs every day. I just hang out with really great people all the time, it's awesome. Smiles.
I decided I would show you my new babies that I ordered from Topshop a while ago. Yes I got me some jelly sandals and they're amazing. They're by the UK brand JuJu. You can get em at other places too. I think Asos and American Apparel have them. I walked all day in them so of course my feet kinda hurt at the end of the night but if you don't do that, they're just perfect. I even wore them without socks which I was afraid of at first but it was fine. I love them. They're so sparkly and they make me feel a little girly, which I'm definitely not, almost 90% of the time.

Anyway, I hope your Memorial Day weekend was grand.
Love you all. xo

Just let it happen...

So as you may have noticed, festival season is upon us and I am completely jealous of those who get to go to Coachella this year.
I say it every year that I want to go so bad but things just don't work out sometimes. My sister and I are making it our goal this year to go to Outside Lands. Don't get me wrong, I love Coachella, but I feel like it gets way too hyped up. Maybe that's just me being super annoyed that I don't get to go. Anyway.
I made a Coachella/any music festival essentials list for any of you going this weekend or next weekend. I did it to make me feel better, but I think it just made me more jealous. It's all goody though because my time will come. Smiles.
So yeah, here are my what-to-wear tips and what not for festival season.

1. Accessories galore.
Festival Other

2. Pretty skirts.
Festival Skirts

3. Fun shorts.

4. Great shoes.

Those are my must-haves. Of course you also need some fun tops and flowy bohemian dresses since it's Coachella duh. But you get it. I hope you all found this helpful if you're currently struggling with what to wear this weekend. And if you're not going to the desert like me, that shouldn't stop you from dressing like you are going. Smiles. xo

Give a little time to me...

So I guess I was just kidding about blogging before leaving for spring break.
I had work every day this past week so I didn't have time to post anything but now that I am officially home, I have a fun post for you all.
Of course, the first full day I'm back, where do I go? Yes, Topshop. I swear, actually earning money is difficult for me because I just buy shit and that's not good. I mean it's great but it's not good.
But anyway, yeah I got to run around LA with my fam (in our matching black and white outfits by the way haha) and it was grand.

It's been nice being home. I'm seeing my sis again this weekend so that's going to be fun.
Lately I've been loving just sleeping in and driving around at night with Christine and our shenanigans. I can always count on her to randomly run around Monrovia with me. Smiles.
Hopefully I can get another post in this week before I go back to SC.

As long as there's sun...

Hi dears!
Fashion Week is making me a little flustered how about you? I feel so behind, I can't imagine actually having to go see the shows (even though that would be amazeballs).
But anyway, behind or not, I still would like you all to see my faves from London Fashion Week because they were perfect.

Topshop Unique
Let's start with the belle of the ball, Topshop. I had two favorite shows and this was one of them. First, the pieces were just totally boss and I want a lot of them for myself. Second, the people who attended this show made me fangirl for days. Third, the soundtrack to the show had this 90s nostalgia, I mean come on. And fourth, Cara Delevingne. Enough said. The pieces were a throwback to Brit pop (fitting) with the patent leather and weird textures. There was a great youthful chic feeling about them which was tough but nice and romantic. Give me everything.

Christopher Kane
This show was absolutely insane in every way possible. An MRI of a human brain printed on shirts, static looking dresses that look like I would get electrocuted if I touched it, I mean it was awesome. There was this gothic, Frankenstein-y feel about the pieces with big shoulders and color choices. If you know me, you know my favorite part of the whole (really long) show was the velvet pieces that appeared. I freaked out and I want them. Oxblood velvet? Yes.

Ashish
If sequins aren't your thing, look away. This collection was banana sandwich, which is very good, just if you didn't know what that means. I fell in love with the slouchy sparkly tough girl look, it was a mix of everything I love to wear. If you don't already know, I am obsessed with sequins and denim so this show was perfect. I went crazy for the all denim outfits and the awesome hologram looks. And that "I'm having a shit day thanks" tee, just oh my god want.

Jean-Pierre Braganza
This was so simple but amazing and strong. I think it gave either a love or hate feeling because it was so out there but of course I loved it because it was insane. It had this sci-fi feel with the prints that were used, I mean they all looked like aliens. When the outfit was sharp, it was super sharp, and when the garment was supposed to flow, it flowed like water and I thought it was phenomenal.

Moschino Cheap and Chic
So this was my other favorite of LFW. I couldn't handle myself with this one. I'm obsessed with everything British so the rise of British punk motif that was seriously screaming at you in this collection made me faint. It was rebellious and rough, but somewhat sweet at the same time with the pink and the leopard and the fur. I feel like people tend to overdo the leopard but this was done really nicely. I also love me some black and white all the time so basically a big yes to this collection.

Hope you enjoyed.
Sorry if Fashion Week (or month) is taking me a while to write about. And sorry that I haven't been posting either. I just got a job, finals are coming up, and all that jazz. To see what I'm up to every day, follow me on my Twitter or Instagram.
See you pretties soon. xo

One way or another...

As you all may know, I went home last weekend and got my wisdom teeth removed which was pretty sucky but I had to look on the bright side. I got to go home and see my fambam and Christine, who also went home that weekend. Along with that I also went to the Grove in LA to pay the lovely Topshop a visit, which had just opened on the 14th. Basically the perfect Valentine's Day gift. And it was grand. I kinda went banana sandwich in there. I'm obsessed, I can't wait to go back again. They had cat shopping bags. I mean, it can't get any better than that.

I apologize for the lack of face. I was hiding my chipmunk cheeks. But today, I am officially all better now. I got my stitches out and I'm jammin'. Smiles.
See you all soon for my LFW faves!

Light em up...

I'm finally back lovelies!
I apologize for the massive break I took from blogging. How long has it been, almost a month now? Sheesh. I didn't even know it was happening until I woke up one day and thought I'm totally missing something in my life right now and that was blogging and rambling to you guys. Smiles.
I owe you all some sort of explanation, but it all basically comes down to school. This quarter has blessed me with no exams but it's papers galore which is really stressful. I can't wait to go home this weekend, even though it's only to get my wisdom teeth taken out. But nothing can ruin this weekend, not even wisdom teeth, because Topshop LA is opening this Thursday and I'm super stoked.

So those were some updates for you. Now for the actual post, it's an outfit finally!
I bought this coat a couple weeks ago from Urban Outfitters and it's all I've been wearing, especially at night when it gets really cold here. You may have seen an outfit of the day picture with me wearing it on Instagram. Anyway, I'm in love with it. I love how I can wear it with basically anything and the Zara-esque feel it has. I'm just glad it hasn't been raining a ton here like it usually does during the winter. It's just been nice and sunny and cold.
I picked this spot to take photos since the very nice man behind me told me I'm beautiful. He told everyone else too. Smiles all around.

Also who's been obsessing over NYFW? I know I have.
Look forward to my favorites from NYFW soon. xo

Oh and FOB is back! Listen to this goodness!

Take a walk on the wild side...

Winter Badass.
That is what I want my look to be this winter. Because you can wear anything and look badass as long as you have the necessary items. You'd be surprised at what you can wear and still look like a badass. It surprisingly hasn't been too cold up here yet, so I'm trying to wear the stuff I actually like as much as I can.
I've been watching lots of trend videos for winter time and I came up with a couple looks of my own on Polyvore. I haven't posted like this in a long time so I thought I would. So if you would also like to be badass this winter (yes I said badass like fifty times), keep reading.

I know they're not super winter-y, but hey, I live in California. Smiles.

Side note: Watch Lana Del Rey on SNL this week. She's amazeballs.

I wake up to your sunset...

1. Barbour jacket/ Burberry bag/ Superga wellies
2. Chanel bag/ Superga wellies
3. Topshop dress/ Chanel bag/ Chelsea boots

Here I go again about this woman named Alexa Chung.
I've blogged about her before and her amazing style. You don't hear about her a lot but when you do, it's all about her wonderful fashion sense.
Reading about Glastonbury 2011 yesterday, all I saw was Alexa Chung and her outfits. She and I somewhat share the same style because I would wear all the outfits she wore. And they are all a favorite. I can't pick one. She is perfection.
I want to go to a music festival so badly. I mean I went to Warped Tour last year and I'm going again tomorrow, which is why I thought of posting about Glastonbury, but Warped Tour is just not the same. But I know I'll enjoy it a great deal. Ever since middle school, I have wanted to see Simple Plan live (yes, I just admitted that). It's like a childhood dream come true and I can't wait. Smiles.
