Just let it happen...

So as you may have noticed, festival season is upon us and I am completely jealous of those who get to go to Coachella this year.

I say it every year that I want to go so bad but things just don't work out sometimes. My sister and I are making it our goal this year to go to Outside Lands. Don't get me wrong, I love Coachella, but I feel like it gets way too hyped up. Maybe that's just me being super annoyed that I don't get to go. Anyway.

I made a Coachella/any music festival essentials list for any of you going this weekend or next weekend. I did it to make me feel better, but I think it just made me more jealous. It's all goody though because my time will come. Smiles.

So yeah, here are my what-to-wear tips and what not for festival season.

1. Accessories galore.

2. Pretty skirts.

3. Fun shorts.

4. Great shoes.

Those are my must-haves. Of course you also need some fun tops and flowy bohemian dresses since it's Coachella duh. But you get it. I hope you all found this helpful if you're currently struggling with what to wear this weekend. And if you're not going to the desert like me, that shouldn't stop you from dressing like you are going. Smiles. xo

It's that time of year guys! Are you excited?

I'll apologize in advance for the lack of outfit posts in these next couple of weeks. It's down to the wire here, finals are coming up and I know I'm going to be super busy writing papers and studying and all that jazz.

But I will definitely post some little things here and there, like today's post.

I'm off to the races...

I've been really bad at posting lately. I'm just glad that Inspiration Wednesday exists.

So without further ado, today's Inspiration comes from what I've been thinking about for weeks now, and that is music festivals. Particularly, Coachella, Outside Lands, and Warped Tour.

First off, I am super jealous of the people who went to Coachella last weekend and those who are there right now for this weekend (um Tupac). I can't wait until I get a chance to go. A couple of days ago, the line up for Outside Lands went up and I want to go so bad. Hopefully I can save up enough money to go in August. Such a good line up.

So Warped Tour. Yes, I am going again for the third year in a row with Andy and Veronica. I'm so excited. Even though Warped Tour isn't really a festival, I still put it in that category since it has a whole bunch of bands. I love it because I find new bands to listen to.

So I went on Polyvore and came up with different outfits to wear this year at Warped.

I'm so excited for summer time. It's getting a little warmer here. Smiles.

Take a walk on the wild side...

Winter Badass.

That is what I want my look to be this winter. Because you can wear anything and look badass as long as you have the necessary items. You'd be surprised at what you can wear and still look like a badass. It surprisingly hasn't been too cold up here yet, so I'm trying to wear the stuff I actually like as much as I can.

I've been watching lots of trend videos for winter time and I came up with a couple looks of my own on Polyvore. I haven't posted like this in a long time so I thought I would. So if you would also like to be badass this winter (yes I said badass like fifty times), keep reading.

I know they're not super winter-y, but hey, I live in California. Smiles.

As you may have seen here, here, and here, I love all things sequined.

Therefore it is not a surprise that I fell in love with a little something called Disco Pony.

"The Natalie Gold" dress

I discovered Zoey Bittleston of Make Shift Model from reading the lovely blog of Natalie Suarez of Natalie Off Duty, which is one of my favorite blogs to read. She is the CEO and designer of Disco Pony and has these amazing as balls sequin pieces. To put it simply, I want every single one of them, particularly the "Natalie" dress shown.

So I was daydreaming (as always), and wondered what I would wear with this incredible dress if I was to own it. With all of these thoughts bouncing around in my head, I went to Polyvore and had some great fun.

It's such an amazing dress, I would feel so lucky and glamorous to wear it.

Absolutely my kind of dress. Smiles.

Anyway.

Bestie Veronica turned 19 yesterday and we had a fun day. Just going to post some photos of our midnight toast for her birthday. I'll have an official birthday post for her after this weekend, since we're going to wreak more havoc. So excited.

The past couple days have been a little cold, there was even rain on Sunday. But it was effing hot today. Couldn't believe it. I heard L.A. was having a weird warm/cold thing too.

But anyway, once it starts getting really cold in Santa Cruz, I'm going to want to be back in Monrovia for some fake fall weather so I can wear these outfits, since they're pretty cute, but not really warm. I already want to be back, if only for a little.
I made some outfits on Polyvore all centering around shoes. These are the four go-to pairs of shoes I want to get for this fall and winter. I already have the Litas (thanks sissy). I have never been more in love with a pair of shoes. But all these other shoes are on the Lust List.

I just thought I'd sneak in an outfit post. I had no idea what to wear today. I'm not really the festive type when it comes to Independence Day but I wanted to be. Just a little.

I have been invited to a Nicki Minaj/ Britney Spears/ Ke$ha party for their Till The World Ends Remix by the famous Alex Mendoza, which is tomorrow night. I already know what I'm wearing and who I'm going as, which is Ke$ha since it's the easiest for me. I have a lot of stuff she would wear. If I had the money, I would go all out for a Gaga outfit, obviously. But I don't, so it's Ke$ha, who I still love.

I went on Polyvore and made some outfits to wear if I were going as Nicki or Brit. And I made a Ke$ha one for funsies. Smiles.

I'm gonna marry the night...

Two words. Lady. Gaga.

Today, Gaga's third album Born This Way came out and I am thrilled. Yes, I've already heard most of it with Veronica, Shawn and Derek but I would be very happy to own it and hold it in my hands.

And guess what? My parents bought it for me and I love them. I can't wait to listen to it all weekend since I'm going to be home. Smiles.

So in celebrating my week of Gaga, I went on Polyvore and thought of different outfits to wear that have to do with her.

1. Of course once I get her cd onto my iPod, I'm going to be listening to it nonstop. This first outfit will be me this summer, walking around the streets of Monrovia with my headphones on.

2. If for some wonderful reason, I get to go to some fancy celebrity event and I get to meet Gaga and we take a picture together, I would wear this outfit.

3. I am dead set on going to see her in concert for her next tour. Meeting her would be insane and I wouldn't know what to say. If I go to her concert, of course I'm dressing up. Little Monsters always dress up. And I am a Little Monster.

So I have been on the prowl for a one piece swimsuit for summer, googling and googling and I've seen a couple I liked.

Basically, I need a new swimsuit, particularly one that covers my chub chub. Since being in college, I've gained a freshman 10 which needs to go away like now.

However, apart from the chub, I actually would like a one piece because I genuinely think they're adorable and plus I don't have one yet so yeah.

So I'm in a class this quarter called "Natural History of Dinosaurs" and I have to admit I'm kind of in love with that class. So much in fact that I typed in "dinosaur" on Polyvore.

Tonight was the Ke$ha episode of Glee and it was one of my favorite episodes of Glee of all time.
