Stay up 'til the lights go out...

I haven't done an Inspiration Wednesday in a while so I thought I would start the year off with what I'm really into currently.

It's more of the usual if you follow me on Instagram, but with a color twist. I feel like it's really hard for me to step away from my clothing comfort zone which is pretty much black. I see images like these and outfits where I'm just like "Oh my word, gimme" but I don't have that drive to put my wanting into practice, or else I might go broke.
The funny thing is that grey, blue, and white are not even a huge jump away from black. They're still kind of neutrals, the way I see them, but more icy which I love. Great colors for the winter to spring transition I'm already feeling here in LA. Still trying to wear my fur jackets in 70 degree weather like a doofus though.

Let it come and let it be...

So I haven't really been inspired to do an outfit post lately. I don't know why but I thought I'd do vlogger/blogger babe fave since I haven't done that in forever. We can call it the Inspiration Wednesday of this week even though it's not Wednesday. Smiles.
Okay so I don't really know why I haven't talked about this Youtuber before because she's something amazing and I've been watching her videos for quite some time now. I'm talking about Amy Pham from The Platform, which if you don't know, it is a channel on YouTube that focuses on all things style, beauty and all that good stuff. Amy Pham mostly does the style aspect of it called "The Fashion Statement" and she's pretty great. She's this little hottie with a body, and super genuine and sweet, definitely a girl crush of mine.

Hope you enjoyed! Definitely check out The Platform on YouTube since it's pretty awesome.
I'll update you all on my life and whatnot on my next post which will hopefully be an outfit.

With one pretty song...

I'm sneaking in a post today since the rest of the week is busy as hell for me. Plus it'll be a nice addition to your hump day.
I'll be fine by this weekend though. Maybe I'll even have an outfit post for you. Smiles.

Anyway, I thought I'd just show what I'm into right now, clothing wise. Ooh this can be an Inspiration Wednesday! Haven't done one of those in a while.

By the way, I'm thinking about making my hair this silver blue color. It'll be difficult though, so I'm not sure. What do you guys think?

See you soon!
I have some Slug Style stuff coming soon and bits of my wish list will start going up next week. I can't wait to go home for Thanksgiving. xo

Forget about the world...

We all know Halloween is coming soon, but I have yet to decide what I am going to dress up as. I have a couple ideas, but if you know me, then you know I can't make decisions for the life of me. There are so many things I want to be for Halloween but unfortunately, Halloween is only one day and I have to choose just one main one. If you don't know what your costume is yet like me, I have some inspiration for you today.

So I love Disney movies and the way they make me feel when I watch them. Even at 20 years old, I would buy anything that has the Disney princesses on it, especially Snow White. I was Snow White for Halloween in my junior year of high school and that was fun times. Now I'm not going to be a princess this year, but if I were, I found a cool way to change it up.
I first saw these on Tumblr and then did some Google magic and found where they actually came from. It's a set of art drawings entitled "Twisted Princess" by this artist Jeffrey Thomas. He basically took every lead female from most of the Disney movies we all know and love and warped them and made them look extra creepy and badass and it's fantastic. There are nineteen drawings in total. They are really amazing, definitely worth checking out. I can't post all nineteen on this so here are some of my favorites.

You guys should definitely check out the rest of them on Jeffrey Thomas's blog by clicking here.
Hopefully this was a good Inspiration Wednesday for you guys. Talk to you soon. xo

Don't judge me on the song choice guys, just sharing my guilty pleasures with ya'll. Smiles.

Paint my spirit gold...

Wow, I need to post more. Only two posts from September and today is the last day. Not good, Victoria!

Anyway, as you know, I am back up in Santa Cruz for my junior year of college which is really scary to say. Almost time for me to actually be an adult. But yeah, I'm living with Veronica again so I'm really happy about that. We started class last Thursday so it's been a pretty laid back weekend.

Some news. We got a Forever 21 up here which I knew would be a bad idea because I bought some stuff from there this weekend. Spending money, one of my many problems.
Also, I recently was asked to guest blog for the UC Santa Cruz street style blog Slug Style about back-to-school tips and trends to try. So you should go check it out here. They post pictures of the great street style seen around campus, and I'm trying to get more involved this year.

So the best season of the year is upon us, autumn, and I wanted to show you all what looks I'm looking forward to rocking. I love fall because it's on the border between warm and super cold. Some days it could be chilly and some days it's pretty nice and warm outside. You just never know, especially here in Santa Cruz. I'm just excited for this season and the coming months.
I guess you can look at this post as an Inspiration Wednesday of sorts, even though it is Sunday, but inspiration nonetheless. So enough of me talking, here's what I'm loving for fall.

As you can see, I've been really into grunge looks lately. You should see what my Tumblr looks like it's insane. But yeah, I'm kind of in lust with it. I'm a 90's kid so it's kinda in my blood already. Oh, and yes, Lua from Le Happy was shown twice because honestly, girl can do no wrong. Love her.

Hope you enjoyed. I think I'll be on here a lot more this month. I just feel like I'm letting you all down with the posts I've been writing recently. Hopefully that's not the case.
Again, check out Slug Style and my post here.

Another taste of heavenly rush...

Inspiration Wednesday! Can you say hell yeah?
Today I'm going to be talking about something incredibly badass and beautiful and that is a recent movie Veronica and I saw which is Snow White and the Huntsman. Especially since I've been obsessed with everything that has to do with this movie from the premiere looks to the wardrobe from the movie to the gorgeous cast. I'll just let you stare at them in peace. I apologize for the photo vomit in advance, I just couldn't decide. Smiles.

So I have a couple things to say about this movie (like I always do). First of all, it was just beautiful to look at. My eyes were permanently ginormous during the entire thing because of how visually stunning everything was. The main cast wasn't hard to look at either. I didn't know who to stare at: Chris Hemsworth, Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron or Sam Claflin. By the way, I have a new crush in Sam Claflin, that man is way too pretty for his own good. Everyone did well acting wise, even my girl KStew, who I did not doubt one bit, even though everyone was setting her up for failure. The movie itself was basically Charlize's as Queen Ravenna and that was absolutely fine by me, since she terrified me and looked stunning doing it.
Anyway, so about the movie. I basically loved the hell out of it save for a few things that I was just kind of eh about. I felt that there wasn't enough dialogue, and when there was, it was almost laughable at times, and full of plot holes. The dwarves, who were some of my favorite parts of the film, were played by British actors that were CGI'd onto little person doubles. I still don't know how I feel about that one.
It wasn't full on the romance, which I actually enjoyed, and focused more on the strength of Snow White and her goal to bring down Ravenna. Also, the men focused on admiring her strong will instead of flirting with her which I loved as well. However, the end left me a little hanging with the lack of dialogue, maybe setting it up for a sequel, which I won't understand. But what can you do? I just have to go with it, I guess.
All in all, I loved it and was not disappointed. Snow White is my favorite fairy tale of them all so that's saying something. The different take on the story, and the fact that it was grittier and messier and that Snow White was a badass who wore armor just made me happy. It was great. Smiles.

So yeah. Anyway.
It feels so good to post now that I've gotten some crap school stuff out of the way. This week is my last week of classes and finals start next week, which means I get to go back home. I'm super ecstatic about that.
Finals are going to be poop. Hopefully I can squeeze in one or two posts in between now and Thursday, which is when I move out.
Later my dears.

Also this song is insanely awesome. Check it out.
