Stay up 'til the lights go out...

I haven't done an Inspiration Wednesday in a while so I thought I would start the year off with what I'm really into currently.

It's more of the usual if you follow me on Instagram, but with a color twist. I feel like it's really hard for me to step away from my clothing comfort zone which is pretty much black. I see images like these and outfits where I'm just like "Oh my word, gimme" but I don't have that drive to put my wanting into practice, or else I might go broke.
The funny thing is that grey, blue, and white are not even a huge jump away from black. They're still kind of neutrals, the way I see them, but more icy which I love. Great colors for the winter to spring transition I'm already feeling here in LA. Still trying to wear my fur jackets in 70 degree weather like a doofus though.

In the corner of my mind...

I thought I'd do a Fave Fives today since I haven't done one of those in a super long time. Plus I want to show you what I'm digging at the moment. Enjoy.

1. My new pumped up kicks.
I've already talked about these once before when I first got them and I'm so in love with them. I wear them to work all the time and they get me through the day. They're creepers so they give me some height but they aren't obnoxious. I love them and they're perfect.

2. Sweet treats.
Particularly the donut kind. We have been blessed and cursed living in this apartment which is only a stone's throw away from a 24 hour donut shop. This summer has been full of donut runs and it's been aces. Donuts just hold a special place in my heart.

3. Comfy trouser pants.
Lately I've been into wear anything but actual jeans and it's not even that hot here right now. I just want every pair of patterned pants I see whether they flare or are tapered, it's pretty problematic. They're just great with a solid crop tee and boots. I basically live in them.

4. More candles.
I forgot the appreciation I have for candles. Recently, on a great night in Veronica and I were having watching Finding Nemo and eating ice cream, the power went out. I was physically dying for almost two hours. But we lit a bunch of candles and it was actually nice the house smelled amazeballs.

5. Teenage witches of the Sabrina variety.
I'm in this 90s funk and it's so great. This show is my childhood okay. I haven't watched it in so long, I forgot how much I loved it. In the span of one week maybe, I've already gotten through three and a half seasons. I literally squeal with delight during every episode, whether it'd be from the clothes, the special guests (*NSYNC and Britney anyone?), or from how adorable Harvey is. I have fallen back in love with this show. If Harvey Kinkle isn't your 90s dreamboat, you're delusional.

Hope you babes liked this. An outfit post is coming soon.

Let it come and let it be...

So I haven't really been inspired to do an outfit post lately. I don't know why but I thought I'd do vlogger/blogger babe fave since I haven't done that in forever. We can call it the Inspiration Wednesday of this week even though it's not Wednesday. Smiles.
Okay so I don't really know why I haven't talked about this Youtuber before because she's something amazing and I've been watching her videos for quite some time now. I'm talking about Amy Pham from The Platform, which if you don't know, it is a channel on YouTube that focuses on all things style, beauty and all that good stuff. Amy Pham mostly does the style aspect of it called "The Fashion Statement" and she's pretty great. She's this little hottie with a body, and super genuine and sweet, definitely a girl crush of mine.

Hope you enjoyed! Definitely check out The Platform on YouTube since it's pretty awesome.
I'll update you all on my life and whatnot on my next post which will hopefully be an outfit.

With one pretty song...

I'm sneaking in a post today since the rest of the week is busy as hell for me. Plus it'll be a nice addition to your hump day.
I'll be fine by this weekend though. Maybe I'll even have an outfit post for you. Smiles.

Anyway, I thought I'd just show what I'm into right now, clothing wise. Ooh this can be an Inspiration Wednesday! Haven't done one of those in a while.

By the way, I'm thinking about making my hair this silver blue color. It'll be difficult though, so I'm not sure. What do you guys think?

See you soon!
I have some Slug Style stuff coming soon and bits of my wish list will start going up next week. I can't wait to go home for Thanksgiving. xo

Forget about the world...

We all know Halloween is coming soon, but I have yet to decide what I am going to dress up as. I have a couple ideas, but if you know me, then you know I can't make decisions for the life of me. There are so many things I want to be for Halloween but unfortunately, Halloween is only one day and I have to choose just one main one. If you don't know what your costume is yet like me, I have some inspiration for you today.

So I love Disney movies and the way they make me feel when I watch them. Even at 20 years old, I would buy anything that has the Disney princesses on it, especially Snow White. I was Snow White for Halloween in my junior year of high school and that was fun times. Now I'm not going to be a princess this year, but if I were, I found a cool way to change it up.
I first saw these on Tumblr and then did some Google magic and found where they actually came from. It's a set of art drawings entitled "Twisted Princess" by this artist Jeffrey Thomas. He basically took every lead female from most of the Disney movies we all know and love and warped them and made them look extra creepy and badass and it's fantastic. There are nineteen drawings in total. They are really amazing, definitely worth checking out. I can't post all nineteen on this so here are some of my favorites.

You guys should definitely check out the rest of them on Jeffrey Thomas's blog by clicking here.
Hopefully this was a good Inspiration Wednesday for you guys. Talk to you soon. xo

Don't judge me on the song choice guys, just sharing my guilty pleasures with ya'll. Smiles.

Love we need it now...

SPIKED DENIM JACKET - DIY/ THRIFTED ANIMAL TEE/ LIQUID LEGGINGS - COTTON ON/ VINTAGE DOONEY BAG/ THRIFTED BOOTS

Yes I know it's the middle of the week, but I still want to tell you about my super fun weekend!
I told you all last week that we had a heatwave in Santa Cruz. Well the next day, it got colder, so it's finally fall here yay. It hasn't been too cold yet so it's pretty nice.
Anyway so on Friday, Veronica and I went on a little date downtown and went to see The Perks Of Being A Wallflower. I'm still reading the book, but I couldn't wait, and it was totally fine. Okay, I am so in love with this movie! I can't even explain it. From what I've read so far, it stayed pretty close to the book, and Veronica read the whole thing and she loved it too. Just go see it. It might become one of your favorite movies.

I felt like this weekend was just all shopping. Wow that sounds really bad, but it really was just a lot of shopping. Saturday was dedicated to Target as you can see. I can seriously spend hours in that amazing place. Their Halloween stuff is out now too so Veronica and I went crazy. We filmed a little Halloween haul over on her channel which is going up soon. I'll link it in this post later when it's up. Smiles.
On Sunday, we basically spent the entire day thrifting and vintage shopping. I was so exhausted afterwards. Shopping takes a lot out of you, I'm serious. First, we went to Bargain Barn, which is just a warehouse full of goodies basically and went through everything. We were very happy with what we found, I'll tell you that. There might be a haul coming on that stuff too. Later we met up with some Slug Style buddies to look for some photoshoot inspiration. I won't give anything away yet, but I can tell you I'm very excited. I can't wait.

I might be starting up Inspiration Wednesday again soon, and posting some Halloween-y things for you too. I want to celebrate it as much as I can this year since I didn't have the time last year.
So yeah, I hope you guys had an amazing weekend too. xo

Here's our haul from Target. Smiles.

Paint my spirit gold...

Wow, I need to post more. Only two posts from September and today is the last day. Not good, Victoria!

Anyway, as you know, I am back up in Santa Cruz for my junior year of college which is really scary to say. Almost time for me to actually be an adult. But yeah, I'm living with Veronica again so I'm really happy about that. We started class last Thursday so it's been a pretty laid back weekend.

Some news. We got a Forever 21 up here which I knew would be a bad idea because I bought some stuff from there this weekend. Spending money, one of my many problems.
Also, I recently was asked to guest blog for the UC Santa Cruz street style blog Slug Style about back-to-school tips and trends to try. So you should go check it out here. They post pictures of the great street style seen around campus, and I'm trying to get more involved this year.

So the best season of the year is upon us, autumn, and I wanted to show you all what looks I'm looking forward to rocking. I love fall because it's on the border between warm and super cold. Some days it could be chilly and some days it's pretty nice and warm outside. You just never know, especially here in Santa Cruz. I'm just excited for this season and the coming months.
I guess you can look at this post as an Inspiration Wednesday of sorts, even though it is Sunday, but inspiration nonetheless. So enough of me talking, here's what I'm loving for fall.

As you can see, I've been really into grunge looks lately. You should see what my Tumblr looks like it's insane. But yeah, I'm kind of in lust with it. I'm a 90's kid so it's kinda in my blood already. Oh, and yes, Lua from Le Happy was shown twice because honestly, girl can do no wrong. Love her.

Hope you enjoyed. I think I'll be on here a lot more this month. I just feel like I'm letting you all down with the posts I've been writing recently. Hopefully that's not the case.
Again, check out Slug Style and my post here.
