If you haven't read my last post, I'm basically trying to do this thing where I post my outfits a lot for you guys, whether it'd be on Instagram or on here. I just want to show you guys what I'm wearing even though it might not be the greatest thing in the world. It'll give you some peeks into my life if you don't already follow me on Instagram. I do most of my updating on there and on Twitter.

So anyway, yesterday was just what I wanted, which is a very random outfit post that I didn't even think about doing until Veronica suggested it. I went to work and she picked me up afterward and decided that we would go on a day trip to Capitola. We drove by the beautiful beach and also found this amazing vintage shop which is now our new favorite place. I found some great stuff I can't wait to style. We ended with an amazing din full of tacos and horchata. Smiles.

Let it come and let it be...

So I haven't really been inspired to do an outfit post lately. I don't know why but I thought I'd do vlogger/blogger babe fave since I haven't done that in forever. We can call it the Inspiration Wednesday of this week even though it's not Wednesday. Smiles.
Okay so I don't really know why I haven't talked about this Youtuber before because she's something amazing and I've been watching her videos for quite some time now. I'm talking about Amy Pham from The Platform, which if you don't know, it is a channel on YouTube that focuses on all things style, beauty and all that good stuff. Amy Pham mostly does the style aspect of it called "The Fashion Statement" and she's pretty great. She's this little hottie with a body, and super genuine and sweet, definitely a girl crush of mine.

Love we need it now...

Yes I know it's the middle of the week, but I still want to tell you about my super fun weekend!
I told you all last week that we had a heatwave in Santa Cruz. Well the next day, it got colder, so it's finally fall here yay. It hasn't been too cold yet so it's pretty nice.
Anyway so on Friday, Veronica and I went on a little date downtown and went to see The Perks Of Being A Wallflower. I'm still reading the book, but I couldn't wait, and it was totally fine. Okay, I am so in love with this movie! I can't even explain it. From what I've read so far, it stayed pretty close to the book, and Veronica read the whole thing and she loved it too. Just go see it. It might become one of your favorite movies.

I felt like this weekend was just all shopping. Wow that sounds really bad, but it really was just a lot of shopping. Saturday was dedicated to Target as you can see. I can seriously spend hours in that amazing place. Their Halloween stuff is out now too so Veronica and I went crazy. We filmed a little Halloween haul over on her channel which is going up soon. I'll link it in this post later when it's up. Smiles.
On Sunday, we basically spent the entire day thrifting and vintage shopping. I was so exhausted afterwards. Shopping takes a lot out of you, I'm serious. First, we went to Bargain Barn, which is just a warehouse full of goodies basically and went through everything. We were very happy with what we found, I'll tell you that. There might be a haul coming on that stuff too. Later we met up with some Slug Style buddies to look for some photoshoot inspiration. I won't give anything away yet, but I can tell you I'm very excited. I can't wait.

I might be starting up Inspiration Wednesday again soon, and posting some Halloween-y things for you too. I want to celebrate it as much as I can this year since I didn't have the time last year.

There's nothing I would change...

Part 2 of the Veronica Extravaganza

I know the posts from Veronica's visit are kind of sporadic and I apologize for that. There's just stuff happening in between that I have to blog about so yeah. So about two weeks ago we went to Warped Tour in Pomona. It was my third year in a row going so it's sort of become a tradition. I've gone with the Andy man every year and we have welcomed a Veronica into our two-person club. Smiles.

I didn't get as sore as I have gotten in previous years from pushing and hitting people because most of the bands we watched this year didn't require that from where we were standing. But my shoulders are basically black. My arms and my forehead were the only parts of my body that got tan. However, I still had one of the best times I've had at Warped ever because I was with my shenanigan buddies. 

My middle school and high school dreams came true since we saw The Used, Yellowcard, Taking Back Sunday, and All Time Low. I was super pissed that we missed You Me At Six since they let us in late. It didn't make shit of sense because doors opened at 11:30am but their set time was at 11:10am. But what can you do?

So in last year's Warped Tour post, I told you all about this little band Andy and I literally stumbled upon called It Boys! and we ended up loving them. We saw them again this year and that was fun. But anyway, the same thing happened this year. We saw this UK band We Are The Ocean and I fell in love, not only with their music, but some of the band members as well. They were at the entrance telling people to watch them and we ended up seeing them. They were great and meeting them was fun, plus they're not hard to look at. Very handsome men. Smiles.

It was such a great time. It won't be the same next year without Andy since he'll be gone on his mission, but we'll definitely be there in his honor. I really want to go back and relive this day, it was amazing.

I heard you were a wild one...

I know I know! I think saying "See you soon" is some sort of jinx now because every time I say that, I don't blog for almost two weeks. But this time it's not because I haven't been having any inspiration (even though I haven't actually done Inspiration Wednesday in a while). Veronica actually came to visit for about a week and we had a blasty. It was a very full and busy and super fun number of days, which is why this is only part one of a couple of posts of her time in Monrovia. The first day Veronica was here, we actually did the Baby Food Challenge with the crew for her Youtube channel. Oh by the way it was disgusting. There aren't any photos from that day since it was a pretty chill day, but you can watch (and laugh at) the video here. Smiles.

The next day we hung out with my sister all day and did what I do best which is shop. I finally stepped into a Brandy Melville store and I was like a kid in a candy shop. Later we went to Studio City and did some more shopping at Wasteland. I ended up getting some great stuff thanks to my sissy. Our last stop was the Yamashiro Farmers Market in the Hollywood Hills for some foodness. I had never been there before and I don't know why because it was amazing. That is definitely a place I will be at a lot this summer.

So basically it was an amazeballs day.

One final down, three more to go. Ugh.

I have some time to spare today since I only had my French final which is doneskies. I'm so excited for this week to be over so I can be back home for the summer. I'm kind of exhausted and tired, plus the heat is getting to me. Anyone else?

I just wanted to share some of the adventures I had this weekend with Veronica. We decided that every end of the school year, we will have some fun on the last weekend no matter how busy we are. You may have seen last year here and here, it was super cloudy and rainy and just weird. This weekend was hot as balls.
We went to a different flea market yesterday which was downtown this time so it was really close. This one only happens every second Sunday of the month so we were planning on going since last month. We were really excited about it. Veronica finally got her own Polaroid camera which was exciting. Hopefully she won't be like me and actually get some film for it and use it (Yeah, I haven't used mine since I got it in 2008). I only got a couple of things since I'm saving up for some Keds to wear to Warped Tour. I ended up getting a couple rings and some cool records since I can't not spend money. I always have to buy something. But that's my problem. Smiles.
But anyway Veronica vlogged throughout the day so you can see that on her new vlog channel when she puts it up or when I post it on here later. When we got home, we also filmed a little haul on her actual channel, so that might go on here later as well. But for now, here are some photos for you.

It started with a whisper...

Another Inspiration Wednesday that I am excited as balls about. Smiles.

I get fashion inspiration all around me, magazines, old movies, Tumblr, my mother's closet, you name it. The place I will be talking about today is YouTube, not all of YouTube, but a particular channel called Clothes Encounters, and a particular person named Jenn Im.

I have been watching Clothes Encounters for a while now. It used to consist of Jenn and her best friend Sarah Chu. Since they've started college, Jenn took the reigns because of schedule conflicts and all that jazz. But anyway. It's basically a style channel where she styles outfits, does thrift hauls, and just talks about her fashion inspirations. So I have to say, Jenn Im is one of my girl crushes.

I mean, look at her. She's super cool and has that cool grunge-y but feminine look going on that I'm totally digging right now. She's definitely gives me style inspiration. And plus she just seems like a genuine person and that's pretty awesome. I'm surprised it took me this long to do an Inspiration Wednesday on her. Anytime will do...

So this outfit post was completely accidental. I'm wearing a hat for goodness sake. I never do that. Haha.

Yesterday, Veronica and I were studying for a test we have tomorrow and we definitely needed a break. We were in the need for groceries anyway so we decided to head downtown to Safeway and Trader Joe's.

I hadn't really worn these shoes out yet since I got them. My sister got them for me from Urban Outfitters because they were on sale (and she loves me) and I love them. They started hurting after about 4 hours of wearing them and that was only because I was running around Santa Cruz getting groceries and hopping on buses since we don't have a car.

But Veronica got the idea of doing a video for her Youtube channel of our adventure downtown and it turned out pretty well.

Best part of the trip was that I finally bought pumpkin ice cream from Trader Joe's. If you haven't tried it, shame on you. And go get it now since it's seasonal.

All this longing...

Lovely weather we're having no?

I've been living in Santa Cruz for two years and the weather still confuses me every time. This week started out really rainy and I thought it was going to last all week. I was wrong.

Today was a very nice sunny and breezy day. I brought a cardigan to class with me, which I didn't even need at all. Thanks to the weather, I'm happy to say I finally have an outfit post to share with you.

The color is kinda off in that last picture but these are the shorts I made this summer. I've only worn them a couple times, but I love them. For my sister's birthday, I made her some distressed studded denim shorts and I had some studs left over. So I googled some styles of studded shorts and found the Sabo Skirt version and had myself a little DIY project. I went to a thrift store and found some Levis and cut the legs off, distressed them, and then added the studs. I really like the way they turned out.

Some updates:

I've been really into lipstick, which is really different for me. Roomie and bestie Veronica convinced me to buy three lipsticks from NYX last night. We made a fall lipstick video for her Youtube page here. Oh and last weekend I also bought a lipstick from Maybelline and I'm loving it. Who woulda thunk?

Oh and I'm going to clear up some confusion if anyone has any: A while ago, I mentioned in a post that I would be posting some old drafts of blog posts because there are big gaps in between posts. So if you are wondering why I'm posting with last year's date, those are drafts I'm publishing.
