Because you love...

One final down, three more to go. Ugh.

I have some time to spare today since I only had my French final which is doneskies. I'm so excited for this week to be over so I can be back home for the summer. I'm kind of exhausted and tired, plus the heat is getting to me. Anyone else?

I just wanted to share some of the adventures I had this weekend with Veronica. We decided that every end of the school year, we will have some fun on the last weekend no matter how busy we are. You may have seen last year here and here, it was super cloudy and rainy and just weird. This weekend was hot as balls.
We went to a different flea market yesterday which was downtown this time so it was really close. This one only happens every second Sunday of the month so we were planning on going since last month. We were really excited about it. Veronica finally got her own Polaroid camera which was exciting. Hopefully she won't be like me and actually get some film for it and use it (Yeah, I haven't used mine since I got it in 2008). I only got a couple of things since I'm saving up for some Keds to wear to Warped Tour. I ended up getting a couple rings and some cool records since I can't not spend money. I always have to buy something. But that's my problem. Smiles.
But anyway Veronica vlogged throughout the day so you can see that on her new vlog channel when she puts it up or when I post it on here later. When we got home, we also filmed a little haul on her actual channel, so that might go on here later as well. But for now, here are some photos for you.

It started with a whisper...

Another Inspiration Wednesday that I am excited as balls about. Smiles.

I get fashion inspiration all around me, magazines, old movies, Tumblr, my mother's closet, you name it. The place I will be talking about today is YouTube, not all of YouTube, but a particular channel called Clothes Encounters, and a particular person named Jenn Im.

I have been watching Clothes Encounters for a while now. It used to consist of Jenn and her best friend Sarah Chu. Since they've started college, Jenn took the reigns because of schedule conflicts and all that jazz. But anyway. It's basically a style channel where she styles outfits, does thrift hauls, and just talks about her fashion inspirations. So I have to say, Jenn Im is one of my girl crushes.

I mean, look at her. She's super cool and has that cool grunge-y but feminine look going on that I'm totally digging right now. She's definitely gives me style inspiration. And plus she just seems like a genuine person and that's pretty awesome. I'm surprised it took me this long to do an Inspiration Wednesday on her. Turns me to gold in the sunlight...

Happy birthday to my awesome dad!

Today, the family and I went to lunch in Beverly Hills at Buddha's Belly which was absolutely yum. I already love curry, and I think I fell in love with it even more because of this restaurant. After that, we walked around The Grove and shopped around and we basically had a great day. Tomorrow is Harry Potter day, and I'm going to have another great day.

Lately I've been craving heels. I want so many and I've realized that I don't have any close-toed heels which baffles me. But I found some that I would like to wear this fall or even right now.

So tomorrow is all about Harry Potter. Last time I will be basically camping out for this.

Sing a sad song just to turn it around...

Last weekend of my first year at college in Santa Cruz meant do as much as we can in the city in one day.

I guess you can say Veronica and I had the best and the worst day ever.

We went shopping around downtown yesterday, looking for things to buy and we did. I had a good haul from Salvation Army of course, and an awesome necklace from Crossroads Trading Co. I can't tell you how much I love that store.

Friday night, we went into Urban Outfitters and Veronica and I found a gorgeous nail color and I had to think about it but we finally bought it yesterday. Mine was a cool periwinkle blue called "Crowded" and hers was a peachy apricot one called "Hangover." We took pictures of them at Pizza My Heart where we ate yummy pizza. The guy in the corner of the picture was this cutie who was dressed pretty classy with a coat, newsboy hat, and glasses, reading a book outside the restaurant. Cutest thing ever.

Which brings me to our outfits. Layers in June. It was raining and windy and cold. I was wearing a depths of the winter outfit and I did not like that one bit. Is this how Santa Cruz works? Hot in February and cold in June? Well, alright.

Last part of the day, Veronica's car was towed in the Trader Joe's parking lot which I thought was absolutely ridiculous. We were there for more than three hours so we were towed. I wonder how many cars they tow a day. A parking lot is a parking lot. So that whole tow thing does not make any sense to me.

But yes, a bittersweet day.

There's a fire starting in my heart...

Veronica likes to take Hipstamatic pictures of me.

One is from a couple weeks ago and one was from today. I think they look pretty cool.

I can't wait until I have my own iPhone so I can take my own Hipstamatic pictures.

But anyway. Today, we went downtown. I didn't want to spend any money (any more money), but of course I bought something once again.

I got a great vintage blazer from Salvation Army. It's like my 12,000th black blazer but it's different. I say that about all my blazers. This had white lapels that look like lightning bolts. I couldn't just leave it there.

I can't wait to wear it. Smiles.
