Let's be clear, won't close my eyes...

My sister and I trekked it to Hollywood two weeks ago for a fashion history lesson. And it was free which is always a plus.

We went to see the "Louis Vuitton Series 2 - Past, Present, and Future" exhibit in LA which I thought was pretty great. It was a multi-room exhibit that kinda went through Louis Vuitton's Spring 2015 ready to wear collection. It was all multimedia as well with making of an LV bag videos, inspirational women to the collection, a minimal room that only featured accessories as the focal point, and a "backstage" area that recreates backstage at a fashion show so every room was something different and I felt it was all super nontraditional, something I was expecting from this particular exhibition.

The whole thing lets you walk through at your own pace and even go back if you want to see something again. Every docent was very nice and told us multiple times we were allowed to take photos, which of course I did. I heard it's going to Beijing next. 

This happened all before I got sick and icky and just wanted to chill out for a couple weeks.

See I'm not afraid no more...

So I'm a little late on showing you guys my birthday shenanigans, but my birthday literally lasted for days. I went home to my parents' house to celebrate and I had an amazing chill time. My senior class president from high school also planned a small reunion for the 2010 class and we all went banana sandwich catching up and what not. It was great and weird and everything I expected from my high school peeps. Then I got back to Santa Cruz and was greeted by more birthday surprises and it was amazing. I love my people. Smiles.

I start class this week so it might be a while before I post again. However it is one of my New Year's resolutions to post more outfits for you all either on the blog or on Instagram or both.

2014 had a little bit of a rocky start so another resolution of mine is to focus on the things that make me happy because I've noticed that it's very easy for me to throw a pity party whenever I feel like it and I don't want to do that anymore. Some great changes happened in 2013 and I plan on having more great changes in my life this year.

Give a little time to me...

So I guess I was just kidding about blogging before leaving for spring break.

I had work every day this past week so I didn't have time to post anything but now that I am officially home, I have a fun post for you all.

Of course, the first full day I'm back, where do I go? Yes, Topshop. I swear, actually earning money is difficult for me because I just buy shit and that's not good. I mean it's great but it's not good.

But anyway, yeah I got to run around LA with my fam (in our matching black and white outfits by the way haha) and it was grand.

It's been nice being home. I'm seeing my sis again this weekend so that's going to be fun.

So I turned 21 yesterday!

On New Year's I celebrated with my sister and parents in LA and we had lunch at Tart which was delish. On my actual birthday, I hung out with my parents and then went out for drinks with a couple people in Pasadena. Fun stuff. Smiles.

I feel like I've been celebrating every day. I might as well live it up I guess since I'm going back to Santa Cruz pretty soon. I do miss that place but it's nice being around family and old friends.

But anyway, I got these amazing boots from my family. They know me so well. So thankful.

Crashing from the high...

So sorry I haven't been posting. This week has been really busy with my dad's birthday, and Veronica being here and Andy leaving soon, I just felt like spending time with my wonderful people without worrying about blogging and what not.

But anyway, Veronica just left today and I have a little time on my hands to post while watching Political Animals. Smiles.

So the weekend before last, I hung out with my sister for three whole days and we had a very fun sister weekend. It was great as always, we ate a lot of food truck food (um cheese curds!), watched some movies, and went shopping. We went to the Hester Fair Flea Market in Hollywood since it was only in town for one day. We also saw the Katy Perry movie and I cried. So good. I love spending time with my sissy. Such a successful weekend.

Because you love...

One final down, three more to go. Ugh.

I have some time to spare today since I only had my French final which is doneskies. I'm so excited for this week to be over so I can be back home for the summer. I'm kind of exhausted and tired, plus the heat is getting to me. Anyone else?

I just wanted to share some of the adventures I had this weekend with Veronica. We decided that every end of the school year, we will have some fun on the last weekend no matter how busy we are. You may have seen last year here and here, it was super cloudy and rainy and just weird. This weekend was hot as balls.
We went to a different flea market yesterday which was downtown this time so it was really close. This one only happens every second Sunday of the month so we were planning on going since last month. We were really excited about it. Veronica finally got her own Polaroid camera which was exciting. Hopefully she won't be like me and actually get some film for it and use it (Yeah, I haven't used mine since I got it in 2008). I only got a couple of things since I'm saving up for some Keds to wear to Warped Tour. I ended up getting a couple rings and some cool records since I can't not spend money. I always have to buy something. But that's my problem. Smiles.
But anyway Veronica vlogged throughout the day so you can see that on her new vlog channel when she puts it up or when I post it on here later. When we got home, we also filmed a little haul on her actual channel, so that might go on here later as well. But for now, here are some photos for you.

If happy ever after did exist...

Yay for an outfit post finally! Even though it's just a simple beach outfit. But yes, I along with Veronica and Shawn, went to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk yesterday and walked around and got some sun. I'm not super pasty anymore which is good. Smiles.
It was our first trip to the beach this quarter and I'm looking forward to many more.

Afterwards, we kind of went on an adventure looking for hair stuff and last night we all went a little crazy. I re-ombréd my hair, Shawn buzzed his hair and might bleach it, and I put pink tips in Veronica's hair. If you follow me on Instagram, I posted a very stereotypical bathroom picture of the three of us. Smiles.

I have yet to put up an actual photo of my hair for all to see so keep a look out for that. It's really blonde this time. But I always say, change is good.

Part 3 of my spring break posts: Sister time!

Last week I slept over my sister's house. I try to do that as much as I can when I'm home because I love that lady a lot. Of course we had a crap ton of fun. We watched a couple movies, had some wine and an amazing dinner made by Geo. The next day the two of us went over to Old Town Pasadena for some sushi and shopping. We ordered a little too much but it was yummy anyway. We made a whole day of just walking around Pasadena and eating macarons.

I got to finally wear the heels I bought a while ago. They only started hurting after about three hours or so. It was a good day.

Also, when I got home I got to see my bester than all the rest, Jeff, who I haven't seen in ages. We got caught up and it was great and we were just being us. Smiles. We also hung out with some of the crew which is always fun.

You're so fresh to death...

My last two Inspiration Wednesdays have been a little late so this week I thought I should start early for you guys.
These past two days, I have been with my sister since I slept over her house on Monday and we just had an amazing time and did the things we used to do which is super fun. Also, I saw Drive, which is an amazing movie. Love. Ryan Gosling, yeah. Gorge. Anyway, so today we, along with her friend Maeghan, totally went extreme thrifting today, which I always love. I get into a zone where my hands keep moving crap around but i don't even feel them. Yeah I'm an odd one but I love thrift stores. If you don't love thrift stores, there's something wrong with you. Maeghan took us to this place and I literally had to dig to find stuff. As you can see, there were piles and piles that we went through. I found some great stuff, I can't wait to show you.

Which brings me to Inspiration Wednesday. And it's simple, really. Thrift/vintage stores.
It's probably been about a couple weeks since I've been to any thrift store and today made me miss it very much. Most of my favorite pieces of clothing are either thrifted or vintage. I love it because you never know what you might find. It makes me so happy when I find things that I'm not actually looking for, and the surprise is amazeballs. Yes I frequent the usual Goodwill and Salvation Army, but the hole in the wall places, and huge warehouses are the ones that make me incredibly happy. Like today.
