I don't care, I love it...

Hello!
I know it's been a while, but I'm still reeling about the Met Ball. They kinda chose the best theme ever don't you think? I was so into a lot of the looks from the event. The Met Gala is so fun because it's basically a fashion show where over-the-top doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing. It's great and this was perfect. Here are my top picks of the night.

Anne Hathaway in vintage Valentino
Okay can we talk about this newly blonde bombshell and how she was absolutely perfect? I love the Debbie Harry-ness of it all and that dress was smokin' hot. She just looked amazing, I was really surprised that she was so into the punk theme this year.

Alexa Chung in Erdem
Not the most punk look out of the bunch but it was her take on punk and I appreciate that. I really love the way this looks on her and she stuck to her own style, which is great.

Rooney Mara in Givenchy Haute Couture
I never can decide on pictures of her in a dress because there are always multiple things going on with her dress. This dress is killer but in a soft way just like her. It's a very girly dress but the back and the zipper detail punked it up.

Kristen Stewart in Stella McCartney
So best beauty of the night goes to this babe here in my opinion. That makeup was so perfect, and the hair, oh my god. She has a lot of hair but somehow it disappeared and I was like huh? She has great face for this look. I did love the red and the no jewelry at all and the lace detail on the suit but what can you do about Stella and oversized pants? Eh. Very surprised since I half-expected her to come in a super fancy leather jacket and a ripped band shirt.

Cara Delevingne in Burberry Prorsum
My babe in the spikes. If I can count on anyone to follow this theme correctly it's Cara. Enough said. She looked so punk pretty that I don't even know how she does it. That deep neckline with the perfect necklaces to accent it, just perfection.

Sienna Miller in Burberry Prorsum
My other babe in the spikes. Her outfit was what I was expecting to see a lot of when I first heard about the punk theme. Surprisingly, just my two Brits here decided that spikes and dresses were a good idea. And I thank God for them! I'm completely obsessed with everything about her with this look. It was slightly lazy like she just threw it on and I couldn't handle myself. The dress hung a little messy, her jacket sleeves almost went past her hands, her hair seemed not done but it was all so great. And that spiked headband oof get in, I want. Who knew Burberry could be so punk?

Some updates for you:
- I'm going home this coming weekend and I'm super stoked. I didn't get to hang out with my mom yesterday so I'm excited to see her.
- I apologize for the lack of outfit posts, I haven't had the inspiration recently. It's been hot so I've just been throwing dresses on. If you want to see what I'm up to, hit up my Instagram.
- Just saw the line-up for FYF and I am so down.
- Oh and a pretty little bird wants me to do a Great Gatsby style post. I'm still thinking about it, hopefully I can figure out how to actually do that. Fingers crossed. Smiles.
See you soon. xo

Don't look away...

I've realized that I probably won't have an outfit post for you guys until I'm home for Thanksgiving, so I'm sorry about that. I just wanted to get through these last couple of days because I am so close to going home. I basically only have 24 hours before I'm home. Maybe I should start actually packing instead of refreshing my Tumblr dash. Smiles.

I thought I would post some celebrity looks from this past week that I loved, a sort of week in fashion if you will. Here are some of my favorite looks.

1. Emma Stone in Burberry Prorsum
CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards in New York City
Okay, so I thought this was really gorgeous on her. It may not be like an "Oh my god" fashion statement, but it's pretty and polished, which is good. Also the fact that it was Emma Stone wearing the dress helped. The color combination looked great with her skin tone and her hair. The whole thing also makes a great holiday look that's not the usual red.

2. Kristen Stewart in Zuhair Murad
UK Premiere of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 in London
More Zuhair Murad for our KStew! This was one of my favorites out of Paris Fashion Week, I even posted it in last week's inspiration. But okay, you can see how happy she is that all this Twilight business is over (I mean, I still love it and saw it at midnight, but shh). Before the premieres, all of her looks were very proper and lady-like, but once the movie started opening, suddenly it was like "Here's a look at my ass guys!" Love love loved it.

3. Gwen Stefani in Balmain
American Music Awards
I'm in love with this. Just basically. It's the perfect mix of rocker and high fashion, which is essentially Gwen Stefani. She looked so comfortable compared to all of the dresses that walked by. This was definitely my favorite of the night.

4. Kristen Stewart in Elie Saab
German Premiere of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 in Berlin
Yes I know she's on here twice but come on, it was the week of Twilight, and she basically owned this last week. Coming to a close with the world tour, she did not disappoint. I have to say this movie's promotion outfits for Kristen were my favorite. I mean, there are always going to be those slight misses, but I think she's showing that she's learning in the fashion world. This gold number she wore was just a knockout for me. It was a perfect mix between wow and sophisticated.

See you guys soon!

Another taste of heavenly rush...

Inspiration Wednesday! Can you say hell yeah?
Today I'm going to be talking about something incredibly badass and beautiful and that is a recent movie Veronica and I saw which is Snow White and the Huntsman. Especially since I've been obsessed with everything that has to do with this movie from the premiere looks to the wardrobe from the movie to the gorgeous cast. I'll just let you stare at them in peace. I apologize for the photo vomit in advance, I just couldn't decide. Smiles.

So I have a couple things to say about this movie (like I always do). First of all, it was just beautiful to look at. My eyes were permanently ginormous during the entire thing because of how visually stunning everything was. The main cast wasn't hard to look at either. I didn't know who to stare at: Chris Hemsworth, Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron or Sam Claflin. By the way, I have a new crush in Sam Claflin, that man is way too pretty for his own good. Everyone did well acting wise, even my girl KStew, who I did not doubt one bit, even though everyone was setting her up for failure. The movie itself was basically Charlize's as Queen Ravenna and that was absolutely fine by me, since she terrified me and looked stunning doing it.
Anyway, so about the movie. I basically loved the hell out of it save for a few things that I was just kind of eh about. I felt that there wasn't enough dialogue, and when there was, it was almost laughable at times, and full of plot holes. The dwarves, who were some of my favorite parts of the film, were played by British actors that were CGI'd onto little person doubles. I still don't know how I feel about that one.
It wasn't full on the romance, which I actually enjoyed, and focused more on the strength of Snow White and her goal to bring down Ravenna. Also, the men focused on admiring her strong will instead of flirting with her which I loved as well. However, the end left me a little hanging with the lack of dialogue, maybe setting it up for a sequel, which I won't understand. But what can you do? I just have to go with it, I guess.
All in all, I loved it and was not disappointed. Snow White is my favorite fairy tale of them all so that's saying something. The different take on the story, and the fact that it was grittier and messier and that Snow White was a badass who wore armor just made me happy. It was great. Smiles.

So yeah. Anyway.
It feels so good to post now that I've gotten some crap school stuff out of the way. This week is my last week of classes and finals start next week, which means I get to go back home. I'm super ecstatic about that.
Finals are going to be poop. Hopefully I can squeeze in one or two posts in between now and Thursday, which is when I move out.
Later my dears.

Also this song is insanely awesome. Check it out.

One step closer...

Another Inspiration Wednesday comin' at ya!

Today, my sister and Geo came to visit me for a couple of hours and took Veronica and I out for lunch at where else? Burger. I love them. That post is coming up a little later. We took lots of pictures so don't worry. Smiles.

So I have expressed my liking for the Twilight Saga multiple times on this blog. I'll admit, I do like it. But compare it to Harry Potter, I'll despise it because nothing will beat that. They even copied the two part thing but that doesn't matter. The point I'm making is I actually enjoy it. I'm not afraid to admit it.
Because first, I'm in love with Robert Pattinson (and pretty sure I'd date Kristen Stewart as well). I think the story is only pretty good because I feel it could have been written a whole lot better if it was written by someone else. The movies have gotten better as far as graphics and acting goes which makes me really happy because I was dying in the first one. And this whole thing has been a best friends group social thing. We've all read it and seen it at midnight together since I was a junior in high school.
While I'm a little sad I won't get to see it with the regular crew, I get to see it with bestie
Veronica on a little midnight date tomorrow night and I'm probably going to see the second part with her as well as the crew, next summer. We got our tickets a couple days ago and I am very excited.

So today's Inspiration Wednesday consists of the Twilight Saga throughout the years and
everything I have loved about it. Just to warn you - lots of photos coming up.

Smiles.
Oh and here are some more things from the Christmas Lust List.

I still haven't quite gotten the hang of my Diana camera which sucks balls but I'm trying. I feel like an idiot because I can't work it yet but I still want accessories for it. I realize I just like having things. Anyway.
I saw this a long time ago and thought Eh, people like it a lot but it's pretty plain. But then I saw it on Rumi Neely from Fashiontoast and she styled it so well that I want it now. I love her style. And it's pretty inexpensive for AA.
If you haven't yet listened to the songs on this, I suggest you do. The song for today's post, A Thousand Years, by Christina Perri, is lovely. And the wedding version of Flightless Bird, American Mouth, by Iron & Wine, is just beautiful. I didn't think that song could get any better.
A lot of my favorite things wrapped into one: a soy candle, pumpkin, chai, and rings. Every one of their candles comes with a ring either worth $10, $100, $1000, or $5000. You can't go wrong. You have to burn them and then dig out the ring. It's great. I want one.

I might do a Kristen Stewart promoting Breaking Dawn fashion post soon after all of the hype is over.

Every time she closed her eyes...

If you follow me on Twitter, you may have noticed me saying something about a little thing called Inspiration Wednesday.

I realized that I have things in my life that get me through the day most of the time, and these can be anything ranging from my thoughts to what foods I've been wanting or eating to people that play a role in my life. I thought I would share them with you every Wednesday because first, everyone needs a little something to give them a boost on Hump Day. I know I do. Also, this will keep me blogging at least once a week even if I get too busy to post anything else during the week. I can't abandon this blog again. I did once and I regret it very much. I'm glad I'm back and happy that all of you care about what I have to say. Smiles.

But anyway. This first Inspiration Wednesday consists of my current loves at the moment which makes me very happy.

1. Free People's November catalog. If you haven't looked through it yet, you're missin' out. I love how they go through the decades and the different amazing styles each one had.
2. Studs and spikes. I have been obsessed with them since I made shorts for myself and my sister. I'm ordering them in bulk now since I feel like studding everything I effing own. And these Jeffrey Campbell spiked Litas are gorge. They are the next Jeffrey Campbells I will buy for sure.
3. Supernovae. I'm currently in an astronomy class this quarter and right now we're learning about supernovae. I absolutely love what a supernova looks like. Anything with a galaxy print I love. It reminds me of the Christopher Kane Galaxy Collection. And yes I want all of it.
4. Like Crazy. I posted the trailer for this movie on here about a month ago or something and I can't wait to see it with my sister when I go home for Thanksgiving. It's beautiful to look at and I will be posting about it again in the near future.

So I hope you all enjoyed Inspiration Wednesday.
Here are more things on the Christmas Lust List that you can enjoy as well. Smiles.

This dress might not be on the site anymore which is really sad because it's my favorite dress from ASOS, along with this one and this one. It's gorge. Love paisley prints.
Such a good album to have on vinyl. If you don't love Justin Vernon, there's something wrong with you. Beautiful.
I have mentioned this sexy shoe briefly before. It's a great black pump to wear with any dress and it's simple but it still has an edge and that's what I love.
I've posted about this nail polish before when I saw it on Kristen Stewart. Still want it.

Anyway. xo

So listen close...

Hair inspiration.

As you can see, I've been a little bit obsessed with the hair trend, Ombré.
I'm in college, so every chance I get, I'm on the internet just scouring anything and everything. Also, I seem to be getting bored with my hair. Again. I'm growing out my bangs again because I miss not having bangs. And every time I look at Kristen Stewart's beautiful hair, I get sad. So yeah.
There's only so much you can do to long hair without cutting it all off. So what do I think of?
Changing the color of my hair.
I've never dyed it before which makes me a little uneasy. But if I do dye it, it will most likely be Ombré. I'm all about baby steps people.

If I were to do it anytime soon, I think the winner would be Megan Fox's hair. It starts at the perfect length and we almost have the same hair color. Hers is even darker than mine, so if works on her, hopefully it would work on me.
Here's hoping.

Oh and sorry about the lack of outfit posts, and just posts in general. I got sick over the weekend. Still love you all, though. Smiles.

But it's over now...

Yesterday was a Wednesday - Hump Day.
It's a day that kinda sucks almost worse than a Monday. And it was extremely hot outside. A great difference from today, which was misty and cold and gloomy. Great lounging weather.
But anyway, yesterday I was in a little funk because the morning was kinda cold so by the time I got out of my first and second class, it was burning up outside. So I survived my Hump Day by actually getting ready and wearing something suitable for the annoying weather. Oh and eating cookies. Smiles.

Veronica took some pictures while strolling along to our last class of the day. And yes, that is a cup of Dr. Pepper in my hand because it was amazingly hot as balls outside.
Then we took more pictures in our room. As you can see, I'm in much need of decoration on my side. Working on that soon.

Other things.
I love Kristen Stewart on the cover of W Magazine. Such a good change in looks for her. She's never this glamorous.
Oh, and I'm excited for Breaking Dawn in November. I'll admit it.
And I'm doubly excited for Snow White and the Huntsman with her and Chris Hemsworth.

Yup. A bunch of random Kristen Stewart news.
Oh, and click on the link to see her in a Marcus Foster music video I love. Smiles.
Beautiful song.

I may be bad...

Now I know a lot of people hate her, but I love Kristen Stewart. I don't know why people don't like her. She has great style, a hot man, hair that does whatever she wants it to do, movies that are making her a fortune. Yeah sure, she's alright at the acting thing but come on who cares?

So I've been really busy rehearsing for bestie Kristen's senior recital this week and I realized I didn't get to post anything about the MTV Movie Awards so I'm going to do that now.
Kristen Stewart likes to take risks on the red carpet which I love. And I love when a celebrity has a dress that gets haters and lovers. I thought her red Balmain minidress was amazing and the fact that it has safety pins all over it and I still like it makes it great because I don't usually like punky clothing.
Also her hair is effortless. She makes me miss not having bangs.

Oh and another thing - her nail color. It's like a dark navy blue and I want it now. I looked it up and of course it's Essie. It's called "Midnight Cami." Love.

Anyway.

Sometimes I wish for falling...

So Eclipse is upon us.
I no longer look forward to seeing how well the movies are done anymore but just want to see what the creators have come up with every time.
What I do look forward to is what the cast wears to the premiere.
The three leads did not disappoint.

I actually liked Kristen Stewart's white backless Elie Saab dress. A lot of people didn't. I love any Elie Saab. Simple as that. As far as the men go, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner in their Gucci - very nice. Fell in love with RPattz even more when I saw him in the maroon. Taking risks is sexy.

In a naked slumber...

Just some beautiful things for the day.

At your most beautiful...

I still have a food baby in my stomach.

It is Thanksgiving and of course I ate a truckload.
But Thanksgiving is not just about food, though it is a big part. It's about being thankful for what I have in my life. These people above take a part in that, as well as friends, shelter, clothing and food.
So today, for the second time, I went to the movies to see New Moon. Last week, I saw it at midnight and was content with it not being supper crappily done like Twilight.
I also was very happy with the wardrobe choices that Kristen Stewart made promoting the movie. Here are just a few of my favorites:

Balenciaga

Elizabeth and James

Proenza Schouler

Gucci

Valentino

J. Mendel

She made very good choices.
