Give me that thing that I love...

Now I wasn't planning on posting this outfit but I thought hey why don't I actually do what I promise to do on my blog and actually show them what I wear. Plus this day was nice, it was a casual day, I got paid, went shopping, had some frozen yogurt which is always great. It also felt like summer to me. It was hot as balls, well for Santa Cruz anyway. I might die from the heat when I go to Vegas. At least I have some time in LA to adjust to the weather.

A couple things:
- The next time I see you, I might already be in Monrovia. I'm super stoked about that.
- In the meantime, follow my social media thangs, God knows I have enough of them (twitter, vine, insta, tumblr, you name it).
- Gaga's video for "Applause" is out and after two years of no music from her, it's about damn time.

Live passionately tonight...

So it is Thursday but I have an Inspiration Wednesday for you guys.
I apologize for not doing this yesterday but I am here now and that's all that matters.

OVER THE KNEE BOOTS - ME TOO/ F21 SKINNIES/ VINTAGE BLAZER/ BAG - LIZ CLAIBORNE/ EXPRESS SWEATER/FUR HAT - CABELA'S

My dumb closed eyes. I was just too happy...

Last night I went to Monrovia's Christmas parade and got inspired by all of the Christmas spirit. Also, I watched Elf before I went to sleep too, but anyway. I thought about what to wear to a holiday party since everyone out there has at least one Christmas party to go to during the holidays.
I go to many family parties and friends parties during Christmas and what do I see? A sea of black. Winter time doesn't mean wear black even though I know it makes sense. I've been guilty of wearing the LBD because it just always looks good. You don't have to listen to me (since I'm wearing another black dress this Saturday to a family party), but I think you should. Any color could be worn during the holidays as long as it's done right.
On Thanksgiving, I'm sure all of you watched A Very Gaga Thanksgiving and how incredible it was. Though the majority of what Lady Gaga wore was black, she changed it a couple times and threw in some different colors. I loved every single outfit.

Anyway, smiles.

Watch this amazing music video.

Oh fantasy free me...

Happy almost Halloween!
The people here have been dressed up in their costumes since the beginning of last week so I guess we've been celebrating for a while.
But just to ourselves. We've been busy all weekend but not too much to skip Halloween altogether. I had three complete costumes this weekend.

1. The first was just a little something I put together for Rocky, a homage to Columbia if you will, since I sparkled like the night sky. I still would like her entire outfit please. But anyway. Once again we saw the Rocky Horror Picture Show. It's tradition. Smiles. I didn't know what makeup to do for the outfit so I just decided on who else? Lady Gaga and her "Judas" makeup. And that's Veronica in all her Magenta-ness.

2. Being a zombie is fun. Enough said. Just look how disgusting Veronica looks. Smiles.

3. And what can I say about our mother monster Lady Gaga? I absolutely loved doing her "Born This Way" zombie look for Halloween. Wouldn't you? Exactly. I just wish my hair was longer. And pink.

Anyway. I hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween weekend.
xo

And I'm whole...

Oh the heat.
I haven't posted in a couple days. I'm blaming everything on the heat. Oh, and my mom turned 58 this weekend too. We celebrated all Saturday and Sunday. Woo.
First, my parents and I went to see The Real Love musical and Don McLean at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium and I was really happy with it. My dad bought the tickets on a whim and we were really surprised how the musical turned out. And Don McLean was awesome. That is all.
Yesterday we met up with my sister and got some lunch at Cafe Bizou (yum) and then we saw One Day. I've wanted to read the book and watch the movie for some time now, and I'm glad we saw it because it was simply beautiful. It's been getting really bad reviews which I don't understand because it wasn't terrible at all. It was the opposite. And I'm glad I enjoyed it.
I had no idea what to wear. All I was thinking was to stay cool somehow. I've been wearing a lot of skirts. I haven't worn this great pleated gray skirt in a very long time so I thought why not?
Oh and that's me in the picture I gave my mom. Smiles.
Some photos for you to enjoy.

Other news.

1. I'm getting a little obsessed with the Jeffrey Campbell Lita shoe. I've mentioned them already before which shows how much I love them. I'm all about cheap thrills, you know that. But I have to get these shoes. Like unhealthy I need these shoes. I feel like these will never go out of style since they're not so over the top and the fact that everyone has them. And if they do go out of style, oh well. I'll still love em. My goal is to get them by Thanksgiving since that will be the first break I have from school. Hopefully I get them before then because again, I need them in my life.

2. I'm reading again which is good. I think it's the heat. I cannot stay in my house since it's always brutally hot so I go out and sit on my porch and just read and I occasionally people watch, and tweet random things. Right now I'm reading Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro which is going well. And yesterday I bought Super Sad True Love Story by Gary Shteyngart, which I heard was pretty good. Can't wait to read it.

3. The VMA's were last night. A couple things: The Best Way to Tell the World That You're Pregnant Award went to Beyoncé when she opened her lovely sequined Dolce & Gabbana jacket to reveal her baby bump. Adele was simply amazing and she sang my favorite song by her "Someone Like You." Beautiful. I want to see her live. And lastly, Ms. Gaga wowed me just as much as last year, but she didn't need a meat dress or a giant egg this time. I adore her. As well as Jo Calderone.

That is all. Thanks for listening.

I notice that you got it...

I have been invited to a Nicki Minaj/ Britney Spears/ Ke$ha party for their Till The World Ends Remix by the famous Alex Mendoza, which is tomorrow night. I already know what I'm wearing and who I'm going as, which is Ke$ha since it's the easiest for me. I have a lot of stuff she would wear. If I had the money, I would go all out for a Gaga outfit, obviously. But I don't, so it's Ke$ha, who I still love.
I went on Polyvore and made some outfits to wear if I were going as Nicki or Brit. And I made a Ke$ha one for funsies. Smiles.

I dreamed a dream...

So last night my ultimate bester Kristen had her wonderful senior recital titled Long, Long Road, and I was so happy for her. We had lots of music, laughs, and cries and it seeing her up on that stage made me really sad to think about her leaving for BYU next year. It was definitely a beautiful night and everyone looked beautiful. I got to have many costume changes which made me excited because people don't like to dress up nowadays, but I always do. So I got to sing with the bester and the rest of the lovely people who were part of her cast and we danced to what else? Gaga. You can see the super awesome dance, choreographed by Kristen's older sister Stephanie here. I bought a new black dress just for the finale and I'm in love with it. It reminds me of the American Apparel one that I mentioned before, but it's better because it's black and it's real lace. I still want the one from AA but that can wait now.
My mother and sister took many wonderful pictures so I will share them with you all. Smiles.

I'm gonna marry the night...

Two words. Lady. Gaga.

Today, Gaga's third album Born This Way came out and I am thrilled. Yes, I've already heard most of it with Veronica, Shawn and Derek but I would be very happy to own it and hold it in my hands.
And guess what? My parents bought it for me and I love them. I can't wait to listen to it all weekend since I'm going to be home. Smiles.

So in celebrating my week of Gaga, I went on Polyvore and thought of different outfits to wear that have to do with her.
Enjoy.

1. Of course once I get her cd onto my iPod, I'm going to be listening to it nonstop. This first outfit will be me this summer, walking around the streets of Monrovia with my headphones on.
Gaga Easy Listening
2. If for some wonderful reason, I get to go to some fancy celebrity event and I get to meet Gaga and we take a picture together, I would wear this outfit.
Gaga Special Occasion

3. I am dead set on going to see her in concert for her next tour. Meeting her would be insane and I wouldn't know what to say. If I go to her concert, of course I'm dressing up. Little Monsters always dress up. And I am a Little Monster.

I'm just a holy fool...

PHOTO FROM AMERICAN APPAREL WEBSITE

New thing on the Lust List.

I am obsessed with this dress from American Apparel. And trying it on today did not help me at all since I fell in love with it even more. Veronica and I went shopping downtown for swimsuits and I ended up trying the dress on.
I did the whole taking pictures of myself in the dressing room like a crazy person and I really want it. I am super set on getting this dress either for bester Kristen's senior recital or just to wear because it's beautiful.
I don't think they do it justice online but what can you do?

Oh and have you seen the music video for Gaga's Judas? If not, you should.

I'm gonna drink my tears tonight...

Lady Gaga walked in the Thierry Mugler Womenswear AutumnWinter fashion show.
She is what we call fierce.

And a new song from her upcoming album played during the show called Government Hooker.
Love it.

Lady Gaga is super crazy but I'm still in love with her.
Smiles.

Oh and new to the Lust List: Gaga's bod.

Won't you let me...

So for Christmas, one of my gifts was a Starbucks coffee cup for school. It's the one that has a template inside and you can make the cup your own by putting whatever you want inside.
I decided to put what I enjoy and looking at it now, I see the inspirations that guide me through my life. And now I can take my inspiration around with me. I want to share with you what inspires me. Song and dance inspire me, along with fashion sketches, Glee, Gossip Girl, photography, lace, Lady Gaga, Keira Knightley, Emma Watson, vinyl records and cassettes.
Enjoy.

You've left me speechless...

Last night was pretty phenomenal in my opinion.

First, The Lesser Panda performed and it was epic. Enough said.

Second, I sang my favorite song of Lady Gaga, "Speechless," and even though I made a couple mistakes, it might have been one of my best performances. I didn't win, but I am so glad I have this experience to remember for my senior year.
