Here's to you...

Merry day after Christmas everybody!
I hope you all got what you wanted since you wouldn't have to go to any of the busy malls today. I was fortunate enough to get stuff I actually liked from my amazing family. Thank goodness. No returns here. Smiles.

So as you may have seen from last year's Christmas post, and the year before that, my family and I celebrate Christmas mostly on the eve but we see other family on the actual day. Filipinos have this thing called Noche Buena where we have a little feast on the night of Christmas Eve and then exchange gifts at midnight. We were at my parents' house this year and it was a grand time. More pictures to come.

So let's set the world on fire...

I apologize for being a bad blogger.
It's December and I hate that I'm not giving you guys any Christmas cheer. From now on, I promise I will be here for you all. So I missed Inspiration Wednesday this week (again), but don't worry I have one for you guys and it's a goody.

I'm surprised I haven't done an Inspiration Wednesday on this yet because it's a big part of my life. I've talked about this many times before on this blog and that is Glee. Since this show began three years ago, I knew I always had something to turn to because no matter what was happening, this show could make me smile. There are no other shows about music or theatre, so being the drama queen I am, Glee has been perfection in everything to me and no one should be surprised that I am completely in love with this show.

I thought about doing Glee for Inspiration Wednesday because on Wednesday something amazing happened. I was hanging out with bestie/honeybee Eddie in Pasadena and we decided to check out the Glee filming that was happening. We ended up meeting a couple people and we were ecstatic. Smiles.

With Cory Montieth, who we almost didn't recognize because of his huge ass parka. He was so sweet.

This is Grant Gustin who plays Sebastian. Even more gorgeous in person. He told Eddie he looked like Blaine.

Eddie and his Warblers, Curt Mega, Dominic Barnes, and Riker Lynch. They were so fun and so nice.

Such a great night. Could have been a little better if we met more people but we actually did see Lea Michele, Chord Overstreet, and Chris Colfer.
Smiles.

Loved this song already, so I was extremely happy that the Glee cast covered it last week.

Just a little bit longer now...

So I haven't been blogging for a while.
This is due to the fact that I am now currently in my new apartment in Santa Cruz, still fixing some things here and there. But I am loving being back in this wonderful city. One I have completely moved in, there will definitely be some pictures.

Since I have been back, I've been super busy setting my room up, getting groceries, celebrating my sissy's birthday, and spending some quality time with the family since the next time I will be seeing them will be Thanksgiving most likely which is really sad.
My parents and sister left yesterday afternoon after a wonderfully exhausting weekend. We celebrated the sister's birthday at this amazing bistro Hoffman's in downtown for the second year in a row. Only this time, bestie Veronica was brought along. She's family now anyway. I got really bummed about not being able to go to my sister's birthday dinner this weekend. One of the things I don't like about being six hours away from Monrovia, not being able to see my family anytime I want. But I digress.

Now happy things. The dinner at Hoffman's was amazeballs and the sister's birthday equals successful. Favorite thing about fall weather in Santa Cruz? It's actually FALL WEATHER! Not the weakling hot/cold we have in SoCal (as much as I love being from SoCal). I got to finally wear the mustard sweater I bought from H&M's fall collection in the sweltering heat of August. Smiles.

But anyway. A lot of things need to be done. Just wanted to update you all on the crazy life.
Back to work!
P.S. Happy early birthday to my beautiful sister over at Lainey Turns the Camera On whose birthday is tomorrow! Now time for some Glee and New Girl. Smiles.

I know it won't be long...

So September is now upon us!
This is good news, everyone, because September means a lot of things: the start of fall, new fall collections, Glee coming soon, school starting, Fashion's Night Out, new outfit opportunities, planning for Halloween, the works. So anyway.

First, some changes. I haven't been out of my house in forever (just a couple days, but still). I think it's my body saying, "If you go out, you'll buy clothes." It's kinda true. But anyway, today I actually got ready and left the house. I usually wear eyeliner every day just out of habit but today I did my whole face and eyes but without eyeliner. I have to say, it was really refreshing. You should try it. Another change. Yesterday I got out of the shower and looked at my hair and thought kinda blah so I parted my hair differently and gave myself some side swept bangs. I haven't had this look in a while so I decided to try it. I'll have an outfit post up soon, once I get inspired.

I absolutely love dressing for fall since it's my favorite season. Duh. I cannot wait for it to get colder. Although, I'm sure, once I get to Santa Cruz, it will be nice and chilly. Hopefully.
Some fall looks I'm loving from Free People:

Lastly, I was tweeting away yesterday and I came across a bromance I have loved from the beginning. I'm talking about Tupert, or Tom Felton and Rupert Grint. These two are the faces of the Band of Outsiders fall collection and I loved the photoshoot they did. The fact that it was done with Polaroid film made me even happier. I don't usually talk about mens fashion but I have to say, these boys look good. They are great looks for next season. Also, along with most of you all, I have been having Harry Potter withdrawals and this was just the right pick me up.
I'll leave you with these lovely boys.

And we're coming to town...

I'm feeling a little different. I'm finally going out tonight with some friends, even if it's just for boba. A lot of people in my life have left for school already and yes I know it's just for school but I'm feeling just a little bit lonely. I still have a little less than a month until I go back to Santa Cruz. That's feeling like a long time to me. But I thought about it, and I decided to spend as much time with the friends that are still here before I go back to school. Crisis handled.

So anyway when I was cleaning up today, I looked on Twitter and saw that the new promo for the third season of Glee came out today, which features the cast being pelted by dodgeballs. That's one video I saw of them today. The second was their promo for Fashion's Night Out on Sept. 8th in which the cast (missing the lovely Naya Rivera) looked absolutely gorgeous. It made me really happy that Chord Overstreet was still in the video even though he won't be a regular on the show anymore. The man is gorgeous. I couldn't decide which of the guys looked the most yum - Darren Criss in all red? Mark Salling strutting around in his aviators? Chord Overstreet and Cory Monteith in their sexy suits? Can't decide. What I did decide is that I want Lea Michele's super glam sequin dresses. Oh and the fact that they covered Sir David Bowie made me extremely happy.

Speaking of the beautiful cast, two of their lovely ladies are cover girls for magazines of the month of September. Love them.

Absolutely can't wait for season three Sept. 20th. Smiles.

This place about to blow...

Tonight was the Ke$ha episode of Glee and it was one of my favorite episodes of Glee of all time.
It made me want to have a Ke$ha party where everyone has to dress up and sprinkle glitter everywhere.
Of course, then I went on Polyvore and thought of what I would wear.

Won't you let me...

So for Christmas, one of my gifts was a Starbucks coffee cup for school. It's the one that has a template inside and you can make the cup your own by putting whatever you want inside.
I decided to put what I enjoy and looking at it now, I see the inspirations that guide me through my life. And now I can take my inspiration around with me. I want to share with you what inspires me. Song and dance inspire me, along with fashion sketches, Glee, Gossip Girl, photography, lace, Lady Gaga, Keira Knightley, Emma Watson, vinyl records and cassettes.
Enjoy.

Soon your cares will all be gone...

Do these look inappropriate to you?
If you're a parent in the Parent Television Council, you might think so. I'm not. So I love them.

I bought the GQ magazine with Dianna Agron, Cory Monteith, and Lea Michele on the cover this past weekend. Apparently the PTC think it's "borderline pedophilia." I don't understand that because all three of them are over twenty-one years old.
I understand that the photos are racy and Glee can sometimes be pretty inappropriate (rarely) but sorry parents, you can't stop your kids from watching something because they will definitely find another way to watch it. And as far as the magazine goes, what kid knows about GQ magazine? Enough said.

But anyway, enjoy the photos. I absolutely love this shoot.
Oh and thanks to my parents, I have a little surprise planned this coming weekend.

Can't fight this feeling anymore...

Yeah, it's been a week. I'm already halfway through my last spring break in high school.
It's been a busy couple of days. Senior Class Council had it's first official scavenger hunt which was super fun. I also went on two field trips for AP Bio - one to the Back Bay Science Center in Newport and one to the L.A. Zoo.

So I've been waiting for a couple of months now.
And in about half an hour, my favorite thing ever, Glee will be back on! Yes, I'm excited. Duh.

So this is the new year...

The first day of 2010 was a great one.

I celebrated my 18th birthday with the family in Burbank.

I got some presents from the sister and the Geo.

Yay Glee.

A fur vest. A fashion staple.

We watched Nine which was amazing and ate at Market City Cafe where we found that the breadsticks there were hella yum.

My birthday is in about thirty minutes. So I'm going to spend the last minutes of my 17th year listening to Glee.
Always a good choice.

Go on and take a bow...

As you can see, another thing I am obsessed with is this wonderful thing called GLEE.

There isn't one show on the air that promotes song and dance in high school than this one here. I am so happy it exists.

I am also falling in love with bad boy in the show Noah Puckerman, played by hottie Mark Salling. I just have to say this guy does not get enough singing time. I mean first of all, he is an amazing singer, and second, he is incredibly attractive.
Not hard to look at, at all.
At all.

Check out this behind the scenes video of his photo shoot for his own band Jericho:
