You better never let it go...

This weekend we celebrated Father's Day at Universal Studios in Hollywood.
I haven't gone since middle school so I was pretty excited to say the least.
The weather was so weird that day. It was gloomy and warm/cold throughout the day. I didn't know whether to keep my cardigan on or not. Just weird.
I took some cool pictures with my 35mm camera, but that probably won't get developed until the end of summer. I'm a lazy bum.
But anyway, I had a great time. Time with family is always good. And my dad had a great time, which is what matters most. I think my favorite picture has to be of me with my dad in the background filming as always. Smiles.

I dreamed a dream...

So last night my ultimate bester Kristen had her wonderful senior recital titled Long, Long Road, and I was so happy for her. We had lots of music, laughs, and cries and it seeing her up on that stage made me really sad to think about her leaving for BYU next year. It was definitely a beautiful night and everyone looked beautiful. I got to have many costume changes which made me excited because people don't like to dress up nowadays, but I always do. So I got to sing with the bester and the rest of the lovely people who were part of her cast and we danced to what else? Gaga. You can see the super awesome dance, choreographed by Kristen's older sister Stephanie here. I bought a new black dress just for the finale and I'm in love with it. It reminds me of the American Apparel one that I mentioned before, but it's better because it's black and it's real lace. I still want the one from AA but that can wait now.
My mother and sister took many wonderful pictures so I will share them with you all. Smiles.

I may be bad...

Now I know a lot of people hate her, but I love Kristen Stewart. I don't know why people don't like her. She has great style, a hot man, hair that does whatever she wants it to do, movies that are making her a fortune. Yeah sure, she's alright at the acting thing but come on who cares?

So I've been really busy rehearsing for bestie Kristen's senior recital this week and I realized I didn't get to post anything about the MTV Movie Awards so I'm going to do that now.
Kristen Stewart likes to take risks on the red carpet which I love. And I love when a celebrity has a dress that gets haters and lovers. I thought her red Balmain minidress was amazing and the fact that it has safety pins all over it and I still like it makes it great because I don't usually like punky clothing.
Also her hair is effortless. She makes me miss not having bangs.

Oh and another thing - her nail color. It's like a dark navy blue and I want it now. I looked it up and of course it's Essie. It's called "Midnight Cami." Love.

Anyway.

The world needs us...

So today was my last day in Santa Cruz.
It was bittersweet. I will definitely miss that city this summer. But I am so excited to see my people! I'm back in Monrovia and it's pretty late but tomorrow is bester Kristen's graduation. Woo!
Seeing my area of the room empty was really weird for me and I was sad to say goodbye to Veronica. She got to take some last Hipstamatic pictures of me eating in the dining hall for the last time. And some more pictures. Oh and my parents did not plan outfits with me at all but we matched, which I thought was really hilarious.
Anyway, here's to the beginning of my summer. Smiles.

Sing a sad song just to turn it around...

Last weekend of my first year at college in Santa Cruz meant do as much as we can in the city in one day.
I guess you can say Veronica and I had the best and the worst day ever.

We went shopping around downtown yesterday, looking for things to buy and we did. I had a good haul from Salvation Army of course, and an awesome necklace from Crossroads Trading Co. I can't tell you how much I love that store.
Friday night, we went into Urban Outfitters and Veronica and I found a gorgeous nail color and I had to think about it but we finally bought it yesterday. Mine was a cool periwinkle blue called "Crowded" and hers was a peachy apricot one called "Hangover." We took pictures of them at Pizza My Heart where we ate yummy pizza. The guy in the corner of the picture was this cutie who was dressed pretty classy with a coat, newsboy hat, and glasses, reading a book outside the restaurant. Cutest thing ever.
Which brings me to our outfits. Layers in June. It was raining and windy and cold. I was wearing a depths of the winter outfit and I did not like that one bit. Is this how Santa Cruz works? Hot in February and cold in June? Well, alright.
Last part of the day, Veronica's car was towed in the Trader Joe's parking lot which I thought was absolutely ridiculous. We were there for more than three hours so we were towed. I wonder how many cars they tow a day. A parking lot is a parking lot. So that whole tow thing does not make any sense to me.
But yes, a bittersweet day.

What do tigers dream of...

TGIF.
Today was the beginning of my last weekend in Santa Cruz until my sophomore year at UCSC. I absolutely love that I have no class on Friday so I slept in and it felt great.

First, I went with Veronica to see her art piece for her drawing class on display along with everyone else's art at Open Studios and we took some fun pictures.
Let me just mention my outfit; yes, I am wearing a blazer and hat in June. Yeah, Santa Cruz, it's June, get your weather right.

Then - ice cream and The Hangover Part II.
It was actually super funny, but of course, not as good as the first. Loved seeing Mr. Bradley Cooper doing his hot thing on the screen.
Yes, I would say it was a great day.

By the way, I am loving my bangs right now.
