Make you feel...

It is very early in the morning but I have a very busy day ahead of me because, ladies and gentlemen, I am going home for spring break today, which is funny because I'm not even fully packed yet. I decided to post today's Inspiration Wednesday early so I wouldn't forget later.

I can't believe spring break is finally here, which means The Hunger Games. *Squee* We used to get excited that the movie was 55 days away and then 32 days away and now it's actually here and I am way past ecstatic. This week will just be everything Hunger Games. I've mentioned this movie at least once in my most recent posts, I've done two Inspiration Wednesdays on it already, and get ready for a third.
Yes, today's Inspiration Wednesday is about The Hunger Games. Not about the movie in particular, but about one of the best parts of it - the boys. Oh yes, Peeta Mellark and Gale Hawthorne, played by Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth.

These guys were always on my radar but I had never really fallen for them until now. I mean when you say Josh Hutcherson, I used to think Bridge to Terabithia, but now all I see is his amazing personality, gorgeous smile and smokin' body. I don't usually pine for younger men, but for him I can make an exception. As for Liam Hemsworth, there's a girl named Miley Cyrus in the way, but I've realized that they're actually super cute together. He's just suave, handsome and witty. He's got a lot of my type in him. Can't wait to see these two in action in a couple of days. Smiles.
So basically this just turned into a boy crazy post. But it's okay because now you can enjoy the following photos.

Look for more Hunger Games posts this week, and just a lot more posts in general, especially since Veronica is coming to Monrovia for a couple days. So excited.
Anyway. xo

Another song from The Hunger Games soundtrack. So good.

A brighter day is coming my way...

Yes another Inspiration Wednesday. It's a day late but again you have to forgive me. This might be the last time it will be late since next quarter, my Wednesdays aren't that busy. But anyway.

Once again I will be talking about the amazeballsness that is The Hunger Games. I can't help it since it's down to the wire and there is only a week left before I come home for spring break and see that wonderful movie.
This past Monday, the premiere for the movie happened in Los Angeles and I was really bummed I couldn't be there. But I'm not going to weep and talk about why I didn't get to meet them. I'm going to talk about how good they all looked. Smiles.

My second favorite trio of all time - Josh Hutcherson, Jennifer Lawrence, and Liam Hemsworth

Elizabeth Banks in Versace and Isabelle Fuhrman in Oscar de la Renta

I had to include Wes Bentley in this. Do I even have to say why? Look at him.

Jennifer Lawrence in Prabal Gurung

Can we please talk about her in this dress? I had anticipated what she was going to wear all last week. In my mind, I was thinking maybe a fiery color like red with a sparkle, or something super sequin-y and her wearing this definitely exceeded my expectations. I recognized it right away since I'm actually using this dress in a future Inspiration Wednesday. I had seen this dress before in Prabal Gurung's Fall 2012 Ready-to-Wear collection and it was absolutely my favorite out of the bunch. Basically, she looked gorgeous. I like when celebrities make good choices.

So anyway, like I said, it's down to the wire. Next week is finals week. It's raining cats and dogs outside and all I want to do is lay in bed. Hopefully I'll still have the attention span to do well on my exams since I'll be thinking about how close I am to going home. I go back to Monrovia on Wednesday so maybe I can sneak in a little inspiration for you guys before I leave. Also, I might not update the blog until then either since I'll be studying all weekend.

Also this song is amazing. It's from The Hunger Games soundtrack. Smiles.

Tell me I'm your national anthem...

THRIFTED DENIM JACKET - GUESS/ VINTAGE BOOTS AND GOLD PIN/ H&M SPARKLY SWEATER/ POLKA DOT BLOUSE - XI/ F21 SKINNIES

The weather here has been really weird lately. It's been raining cats and dogs for the past few days which was annoying, but today was sunny sweater weather which I don't understand.
I wore this outfit a couple days ago before it started raining but it was seriously freezing. I didn't even know I was going to post about this outfit. I thought why not since I haven't in a while. It's pretty much what I wear to school every day: a button down under a sweater with a jacket thrown over.

So yeah. It's been a pretty chill week. I'm looking forward to this month, since we're so close to the end of the quarter, which means spring break, and I get to see my family and besties, and The Hunger Games. Oh, and by the way, the man Jeffers is twenty today so happy birthday to that guy. Smiles.
I'll leave you beautiful people with what I got in the mail today from my amazing sister. I love getting letters and little things that just make my day.

You're running wild...

It's that time again - Inspiration Wednesday.
And this week, it's this guy.

I love controversy.
So it's no wonder, I fell in love with Tyler Shields, everything he does, and everything he is.
He's the guy that's been taking those beautifully eerie pictures of those celebs we all know and love. That's because he's friends with all of them and they have discovered what an amazing artist he is. You may have heard of Mischa Barton fondling raw meat or Heather Morris with her black eye. Yes, all this guy. He is super freaky and I love it.
Though his photos are sometimes shocking, he doesn't mean to shock. He has a way of taking the stuff the news tells us to fear and playing around with it. A lot of people are afraid of blood, and fire, and guns, and violence, and he photographs a lot of it. A lot.
He has a great eye and all of his photos are stunning to look at. I find myself always looking forward to what he does next. I mean, the guy shot someone for real, at the opening exhibit of his "Collisions" show in 2010. He was wearing a bulletproof vest but still. He pushes boundaries and I love that. He also gets his subjects to push their own boundaries, which makes for a great photograph. Not only is he amazeballs at photography, the man can write. He recently released a book last year called Smartest Man, which I have yet to read, but I heard the response was incredible. So I'm looking forward to that.

Anyway. Tyler Shields. You have to check him out. I'm surprised it took me this long to do an Inspiration Wednesday about him. It would be a dream to have him photograph me. Every time I see his work, I want to do a photoshoot. I might be doing a shoot kind of inspired by him pretty soon. Hopefully.

So hope all you lovely people enjoyed this. Have a great rest of the week. Smiles.

You've been running from life...

I don't know why I made Wednesdays my busiest day of the week but I did, and that has come to bite me in the ass a little bit.
I already have three classes and a discussion to go to every Wednesday. But today I just happened to have a billion more deadlines to add to all that and I am exhausted.
Being so busy, I can't believe I almost forgot to post an Inspiration Wednesday.
So here goes.

That's right people. That little thing we have all seen lately: The Hunger Games.
First of all, I never thought I would love a series even a fraction as much as I love Harry Potter. I mean, nothing will beat Harry Potter, but this is pretty damn close, if I do say so myself. And I've fallen in love.
I was a little skeptical about it at first because I was hearing a lot about it and people were comparing it to Twilight and Harry Potter and I was just like seriously guys? But reading it, you find out that it's not like anything else, so I really don't know why it's being compared to anything at all.
But yes, thanks to Veronica and my sister, I am now obsessed with The Hunger Games. I've recently started the second book, Catching Fire, and I am almost done. I seriously cannot wait until the movie comes out which conveniently falls during my spring break. It's going to be so great especially since Veronica is coming to Monrovia too to see it with me and my family. There's just a lot I can't wait to do. Smiles.

Oh by the way, happy February to all!
