This time I'm not leaving without you...

A new year means another birthday.
Today, I turned 20 years old. Yes, I get it, it's not that special. It's kind of the limbo in ages. But hot damn people, it's only boring if you let it. So I won't let it. I swear this year will be one of the greatest amazeballs years ever. I already had a good start. More pictures of the day to come.

Today I celebrated with my family with lunch (and a super cute waiter) at one of my favorite places Mexicali in Studio City, bowling at Pinz, which I haven't played in forever but it was still super fun, and finally we went to go see Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol at the Arclight, which was surprisingly very good. I am now at my sister's house just enjoying some downtime and In-N-Out.
My outfit today made me feel very much like Rumi Neely from Fashiontoast. I think we have the same skirt. I felt kinda formal all day too because of the heels and tights, but it was my birthday. It was also weirdly hot today too. Big change compared to last year, when it was raining cats and dogs.

All in all, I had a great day. Tomorrow I will be celebrating my birthday for a third time, this time with my sister and cousins. Last week I had a little something with my friends which I haven't posted about yet but I'm getting there.
Also, just to let you guys know, there won't be an Inspiration Wednesday this week or next week because I'm just trying to get as many posts in as I can before I go back to Santa Cruz. Once I get back to a regular schedule, I will start again. Don't worry. Smiles.

Faster than my bullet...

These past five days, which felt like ten days, were the best ever. Bestie Veronica came down and hung out with the gang in Monrovia and had a jammin' time.
We went The Americana in Glendale, and Burbank for the car show and to visit my sister at her work. It was super fun and I went into It's a Wrap! for the first time and I fell in love with a clutch that I couldn't afford. But anyway.
Last night I also said goodbye to besters Kristen and Christine since they're going off to college. So early. I don't go back until next month.
But yeah, Vern also left this afternoon, not before sneaking in a trip to the mall to get boba since it's her new favorite, and some Cuban food at Merengue. I was really sad. But only a month left now before I get to reunite with the Santa Cruz peeps. Woo.
Here are a few pics from the weekend.

Now enjoying some end of the weekend In-N-Out and coconut water. Beautiful.

For you, I am blinded...

I'm going to just talk about some things. I haven't done that in a while.

After Harry Potter ended, I went into somewhat of a depression, but not really. I was kind of lethargic and slept in my Snape shirt for five nights in a row. I didn't dress up really for anything I did. And I hated being at home. I want to go back to Santa Cruz like now even though I don't want to, at the same time. I don't know.

This past week has been pretty rough. I got some news on Monday that kind of shook my family up and I won't bring up any details but I have to say, I am always surprised at how the human mind works. No one can learn how it works, it's just impossible. I swear. But anyway, I've had to deal with the news on my own since no one understands my side of it except for my sister. I don't understand it myself.

Everything you do in life is a decision. Decisions that you make can be absolutely terrible or they can be incredibly right. Some decisions can either turn out good or bad. The one that was made on Monday is one of those decisions. It is one that still has hope, in my opinion. It's horrible right now, but later on, I hope it will feel better and be better for all of us.
I feel like I should make a decision like this in my own situation. The sucky thing is, I can't make decisions for the life of me. It's really hard. I don't know how to go about doing it.
That's one of my many problems.

Thankfully, I have things to calm me down, or distract me, if you will. I've decided to start making feather earrings and sell them for a profit. Something I love doing and making money while I'm doing it. I'm only selling to friends right now but hopefully the business will take off.

Today I'm getting a much needed break from life. Megan is taking me rollerskating tonight and I'm excited to try it for the first time. Wish me luck.
I am also excited for some In-N-Out tonight. Smiles.

By the way, sorry that this post didn't make any sense whatsoever.

We love just because...

Yesterday I went to Warped Tour in Pomona with Andy. And I was beastly.
I'm absolutely exhausted and still a little (okay, a lot) sore since I got a sunburn from being out in the sun all day and people fell on top of me and I was elbowing bodies everywhere and you know what goes on at Warped. I didn't get as sunburned as Andy though. I felt so bad, for him and myself. But In-N-Out never tasted so good afterward. Smiles.
When I develop the pictures from my film camera I will post them.
I have two words. Simple. Plan. They were my favorite part of the day. Especially their lead singer, Pierre Bouvier. So sexy. I loved all of the bands we saw, even August Burns Red, which is definitely not my type of music. We found a new band that I actually enjoyed by accident called It Boys and I was really happy. Thank you Simple Plan, 3OH!3, It Boys, August Burns Red, Every Avenue, Less Than Jake, and Set Your Goals for a great day.

You're a firework...

Happy New Year to all!
Now I usually don't blog two days in a row, but the months of January and December require me to sometimes because there are too many special occasions that happen.
Last night was 2010. And today is 2011.
2010 was such a great year for me, I can't even explain it.
I spent the last hours of 2010 with the man and In-N-Out and my parents jumping up and down in my living room and laying down in the middle of the street with my baby à la Noah and Allie in The Notebook.

I hope everyone had a great New Year. I know I did.
And my 19th birthday is tomorrow. Smiles.
